Plantpot Parabolic: DIY guide

How to make your own parabolic reflector for wildlife and birdsong recording! This setup uses everyday materials (a plantpot, some wood, a few screws and washers and a bungee cord) to create a parabolic reflector which can be used with your smart phone and an audio recording app. It's by no means perfect, but I have been really impressed with the results and thought I'd share a rough guide of construction process so others can give it a go too!

You don't have the phone at the focus point of the parabolic dish, I'm surprised this works as well as it does. I wonder how good it would work if you mount the mic at the focus.

Have a AUDIO LIMITER plugin otherwise if suddenly a loud sound comes when you are listening , it can damage one's hearing
