Just got back from Peru and sitting with Huachuma in the Sacred Valley
after about a month, my Shaman told me he was told by the medicine for me to sit with his Ayahuasca Shaman friend, a Lineage Shipibo gentleman
I went to Pucallpa for 2 weeks and had 7 ceremonies, difficult but beautiful
back to the mountains for more cactus and a bit later, The Mother called me again
I went further up the Ucayali river to Masisea to sit with another Shipibo Shaman and his family
Its the most humbling thing to get in touch with yourself through people like the Shipibo, and to be honest, I was spoiled because my first 17 ceremonies all in all were through some of the best medicine people in the world. what an honor.

Iv posted this several times because i think it is of importance for people to be aware of, it could also make people more cautious and possibly reduce someones impulsive not thought through decision to just go and take a heap of psychedelics and possibly be psychologically or spiritually harmed,
Anyway concerning psychedelics and traditional plant medicine ceremonies, the difficulty of a foreigner like myself authentically participating in a traditional plant medicine ceremony is alot more complex than people may think, traditionally the use of plant medicines by people is just one small aspect of a much larger tradition and all encompassing way of life, a complex system of religious beliefs and other spiritual practices, on a continuum from more exoteric to esoteric, certain ethical and moral principles, various rules and regulations, different social roles and duties, a knowledge of and connection with all other members of the tribe, usually from birth etc, a whole particular mentality, psychological and emotional that has developed and been cultivated by these particular people, etc etc etc, so it was very different for them as one could imagine compared to someone like me from the west who may come in and stay for a while then leave.
what i am getting at is that a commitment to the tradition and way of life would seem to be a prerequisite for its participation i believe, a conversion to use a different type of Language, ultimately an initiation that is for life and implies one is going to seek god following that particular mode of following god with all that the tradition implies otherwise there will always remain this sense of one being a tourist in a way, just hoping to come in without any true lifelong commitment and have an experience, it has this materialistic western consumer feel to it, just happens to be in regards to spiritual things uno, its like spiritual shopping, but i believe the commitment and the sacrifice that a proper engagement with spiritual/religious things implies is one or the most important parts of the effectiveness of the whole thing and determines the degree of benefit one may get from the ceremony uno.
Because if you look at all of history and mans spiritual/religious searching and way of life then it os always the case that only one particular tradition is followed by any given individual, individually or culturally they commit to one way of life, one religion, one path etc and follow it to the desired goal which is the attainment of an experiential union with god, in fact it was so important that different paths to the same goal not be mingled together or one person not practice two ways that there was many restrictions in every culture existing to guard against this, this is where we get what is misinterpreted now as a bigoted exclusivity in religion in relation to how it sees other religions but in reality it is just an attitude that had to be taken for the protection of each religion which is whole and complete in itself and can lead man to the same end as another one, when two paths are confused and joined tho then it may destroy both because they are so radically different in the mode in which they do things that they externally appear not to even have the same end in sight etc
    God bless brotha

Another one that I know of is mimosa pestilis and Syrian rue but I have heard there are others. I understood that, depending on which combination you use, it can be a more / less cleansing experience, an easier / harder trip, better / worse taste, etc.

I would assume not, since they boil away most of the water to concentrate the medicine in the little remaining water. The boiling points of the active chemicals is probably much higher than the boiling point of water, and if any is vaporizing off I would assume it would be at such low concentrations that you'd be hard pressed to get a threshold dose from inhaling the steam.

because it makes some type of poison or something bad , i cant remember exactly what he said , but he said it was a way to know if the ayahuwascaro is a good one or not , he says similar stuff about them adding datura , he says dont drink ayahuwasca with datura it can give you a heart attack , plus datura is known as evil magic which can put people in a dilliriant state , terence also talks about how people were adding creasote and all sorts of bad things to their ayahuwasca and putting it off to gringos , i mean this was all a long time ago but im sure theres nothing new under the sun lol when i went to another country and brewed ayahuwasca by myself i mixed cats claw plant , weed , california poppy and a few other ingreidiants like licorice root and some cherries lol to try to mask the horrible taste , it did not work lol , i drank it like 4 times nothing happened except a little puking the 4th time then the 5th time i drank a shit ton of it and noticed that when the lights were off that there were full spiritual visuals of the magical world and the senorita ayahuwasca ghost , before the ayahuwasca trip started i asked her if she could heal me of the pain from not being able to see my kid , i think i told you about this before vagually and about how the spirit was trying to analyze my memories of the mushroom trips and idk iits hard to explain but i took terences dare 7 grams silent darkness alone ask out loud for the mushroom spirit to come talk to you and i had it come talk to me and abduct me into outer space and i had 3 destinations the first a feild with a circle of dark tall people standing in a circle chanting that they were the mushroom then a large blue woman apppeared about 50 feet tall and had telepathy with me telling me that she appeared as a naked woman to not scare me and something else that i forget , the second was a pine tree forest with snow and raindeer and they had red eyes and were stomping in the snow , the third was being thrown into the sun which was blue for some reason and there were people melting it was a giant melting pot of people that were obsessed with mcdonalds and video games and stupid shit and they were all being erased and i could feel them surrounding me with their screams of material possessions , then after that it was like i was in cloud form with the mushroom ghost in space and it told me 3 magical things that i forgot and it threw me back into my body from outer space and i woke up instantly and turned the light on and the blank walls were all plad looking but there were no visuals or entities whatsoever , what was really weird though is before i took the mushroom dare like 10 years ago roughly im retired from tripping from stomach issues aka ulcers , anyways before the mushroom ghost came to me in the dare i was sitting in the dark smoking joints thinking and saying that it was fucking bullshit and terence mckenna was full of shit and how i felt like it was a waste of a good trip and nothing was happening and it was like the 6th or 7th joint and i heard this music like circus music from the dark room in the other room and i could hear it and there was no one in the house and it sounded creepy but cool like an evil circus or something but from a living entity like the music was its breathing , then outta nowhere boom this tall dark entity just appeared in the corner of my room and it was like it did the flashy thing on me like on men in black , it was like i felt like it was my freind and i invited it to sit down and i tried to pass the joint to it and it refused , i told the mushroom ghost it was rude for refusing to smoke a joint with me and it kept telling me that i should go to sleep , i told it that it was rude for me to go to sleep when there was a guest , it paralyzed me wwith a weird comfort and sat next to me and whispered in my ear to go to sleep and i said to it fine ill go to sleep after i smoke this last joint , i smoked the last joint and put it out and the second my head rested against the couch i could see the back of my head and i started floating away from my body through the roof and i could see the town and i could see the land and the trees and the oceans and the entire earth from a distance , terence mckenna never said anything about the thing abducting you , he did warn though not to piss it off and i think when i cursed it out saying it was total bullshit that it heard me and it decided that i need to learn a lesson of some type and im stil debating on what i seen and what i learned and who it was and what i am supposed to do with being the sole witness to terence mckennas old friend the mushroom ghost lol whom i have not eaten in like 10 years lol id love if they made salvia legal again so i could blaze some of that shit down because that stuff was great i seen serpents on it once and i could feel their scales under my hands
