I had an issue where launchers were not showing in steam. I used the .desktop link from github rather than the source files link and it worked 1st time for me.

After extracting the zip file, what do I do?
It doesn't really do anything. Sorry, terribly new to tinkering with the Deck. Tried to follow the on screen instructions, but the 2nd folder doesn't look like yours and certainly doesn't do what yours did.

Doesn’t work for me got them to download but when I click on them in library it says running but nothing happens checked to make sure it’s in the right proton but nothing happens any help

The latest updates are not supported, so do not update steam os in order to be able to do things like this.

It opens up the code on an app called "Kate" and nothing happens. I also tried to run it through "Dolphin", and it shows "Loading canceled". Do you know what's going on? Thanks in advance!

I did it automatically restart for you or did you do it manually? I didn't get the prompt to restart so I just did it on my own

Could you do the comparison between performance launching some ubi game using Uplay on Steam Deck or using Steam? I think it is very interesting.
yo, you dont need a seudo password for decky anymore, there is an option to can choose where it will auto generate a password for the install then removes it after.
How do I do this ? I forgot my password completely. Will I need to do factory reset ?

I followed all the steps but I can't find them in the launcher library
If you have decky loader installed you have to uninstall it and launcher should work

This would probably be the permanent solution for running these 3rd party launchers. Now I just wish I could play my Game Pass library on my Steam Deck without the Cloud..
unlikely at the moment unfortunately. UWP on linux at the moment is a no-go

Make sure when saving as, you remove the .download extension it adds
Can’t log if with google but account on sync and battle net installation won’t finish installing.
for me the ea app just dont start, i see the steam logo loading without the app opening
that "jedi question" never shows up for me it just closes everything and re opens steam and it isnt there i even tried the pinned comment below and nothing

I did it, opened Ubisoft connect, selected my Assassin (downloaded) game and still uplay comes up with connection lost error. no use..

I tried with Riders Republic and it saids " problem authenticating the ownership of the product"
Battle net and epic games worked like a charm but cant get the Xbox Game pass to work, the one i wanted the most :( Anyone have a guess why? When i press the Play/Run button on steam it runs for 1-2 seconds then nothing happens :(

hi! I run the scipt many times but seems it does nothing, just start steam nor GE nor any lancher added :(
in terminal not too much lines displayed, and new version is different than the one on this video.
p.s.: reinstalled steam os with english locale, the script run fine now...

I had this issue as well, resolved it by installing Proton GE manually using "ProtonUp-Qt". Once it was installed I was able to install EA app via NonSteamLauncher.

doesnt work for me it installs the launchers but it doesnt add them to steam automatically if i add them manually and try to open them i get one second black screen and the message that its running but then it closes itself everytime i did switch it to proton experimental but i dont know how or if it can be fixed
When I click on the launchers I want and then OK it comes up with another box asking about websites. I leave it blank and click on OK again and nothing happens whatsoever!! It doesn't install anything and just goes back to the file directory! What am I doing wrong?

Just put any website in. I used CZcams and it worked. Now everything is downloaded but I can’t log into any of them. 😢

helped me in running GTA V in steam deck. I have not downloaded any rockstar games before and when i purchase GTA V and installed it in my SD, it didnt process through the running of the game, after Im passed with rockstar launcher, it just says launcher failed to initialize.. your video and the moraroy installer worked like a charm. now my son can play GTA V.
Any idea why I don’t have the intstall button on the launcher?

is it possible to make games from the ubisoft connect library show up in the steam deck library or will i need to open up ubisoft connect and pick the game from there?
Not at the moment. You have to go though the launcher still as the game doesn’t know where the launcher is installed when it loads to check if you launch it directly.
when i open the nonsteam desktop it gives me no prompts and just opens the text files with kate. what am i doing wrong???

So I followed the steps (which was easy to follow, thanks for that!) but I only got one out of 3 working. Blizzard works but Epic and Amazon doesn't. I don't know what happened.

I used your guide to install Easy Launcher for epic ...everything was smoothed but after installing it did not show the app on desktop nor on "non-steam app" so I opened the Easy Launcher and so it still installed and the path shows
/home/deck/.local/share/steam/steamapps/compatdata/nonsteamluanchers.......
so tried to search for it didn't see it on desktop mode or steam mode ....does anyone has a clue ?
i moved all the files over to my SD card. after that steam showed the apps.

I am having issues with opening Epic through Steam. I switched it to Proton Experimental. Maybe because i am using 2.99 version. Would you consider doing an updated video?

Do the games on epic still require a Installation of Visual c++ in order to start them?
Everything works like a dream, except for Luna. When I launch it in gaming mode (haven't tried desktop yet), it just crashes without getting anywhere. Steam tries to open it, then gives up.
I switched to Proton Experimental (had forgotten to do it on first attempt, second attempt with Proton caused it to think for a bit longer, like it was going to work, but same result).
Any ideas?

Does this process conflict with any previous methods to get launchers etc installed...in other words is it recommended to do some sort of clean up first
It won’t conflict. But you could end up having duplicate apps. So if you already have a launcher installed (like I did the EA app) just don’t install it. Or delete your old one and point the new one at your game installs.
Battle net crashes immediately for me on Proton Experimental - I set it to 8-3 and it works though??

Battlenet keeps asking for update & restart. should I ignore it? or is there any method to make the update works? since it closes and never come back if I try it.
It should close to update. and then if you manually close it and relaunch it, it completes for me.
How long is the detecting/updating part supposed to be? Ive been waiting forever and no results (going for the EA app)

Playing D4 on high graphics on Steam Deck. Runs well. I try playing D2R but it gives me this 30 days login account bullshit. Cant get passed it. Installed windows 10 but then if I run D2R that way, it uses mouse and keyboard instead of steam deck controls... Will figure this out!

It’s a universal windows program (uwp) so it requires windows core libraries
all the launchers will just not open and will stay loading, and some not even opening. how to fix?

This is great! Thanks for sharing but I do have one question. Do you know of a way to make the Ubisoft Connect Easy Anti Cheat work? In regards to The Divison 2, I don't want to buy it again on Steam as I already have it on the Ubisoft Connect store, but anytime I launch the game, the Easy Anti Cheat logo appears and does an infinite boot loop. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It doesn't show in Steam at all anymore. I accidentally uninstalled everything from NonSteam, but now, with a new download of the updated application from Git, it won't download or show the Epic Games under Steam Library. And looking over the files under compatibility files, it doesn't show Epic is there, where it should be.
is anyone else having issues with the on screen keyboard when trying to use it to login to any of these launchers? My keyboard input doesn't seem to work.
