Believe it or not the brown squares are electronic tuners that had a sticky pad on one side so you could mount it to your instrument. I never liked those kind myself but there's a lot of people that were using them in the mid/late 90's.
The best guitar player in this video didn't even get a chance to display his chops. It wasn't Tommy Emmanuel and wasn't Duck Baker. Buster B. Jones was quite the gentleman in this video. He could have easily blown the doors wide open with his playing, but he chose not too. Yes, Tommy and Duck are very good, but Buster is the best!
Sorry, dude, but that's just not how it works. None of these guys can do what the other two can do, and the same can be said of many others in the business.
