The disorder can affect any age group with women being twice as likely to develop PTSD than men.
1 in 13 people will develop PTSD in their lifetime and are 3 to 5 times more likely to have a depressive disorder, higher risk of suicide and 46,4% higher chance of addiction.
Worldwide prevalence of PTSD in the general population is around 3,9%.
Estimated 354 million adults, globally suffer from PTSD.

I am thrilled to share my new single, "Invincible," with all of you. Originally written specifically for the Invictus Games, this song holds a very special place in my heart. As someone who has witnessed the effects of PTSD in my close circle, I wanted to create a powerful anthem that brings hope and strength to those who are struggling with this condition.
'Invincible' is a song about resilience, about pushing through difficult times, and about finding the strength to start again. I believe that this message is one that will resonate with many, as PTSD affects 1 in 13 people in their lifetime, and women are twice as likely to develop it as men.
I hope that 'Invincible' will remind you that even in the darkest of times, there is always the possibility of coming out stronger. You are not alone, and no matter how difficult the journey may be, there is always hope for healing and self-discovery.

This song delivers healing energy and hopefully it is returned to you dear Floor by all of us who are pushed into recovery.
For many years I felt invisible...fighting a battle that no one sees.
That no one would ever understand how painful it is to have to be strong every day to stay alive. Many times I wanted to stay in floor.. accept defeat.
But I always got up with a smile on my face and love and peace in my soul. Your music today made me feel seen and understood...made me feel like I should keep fighting. That I am strong and I will be able to get up no matter how many times I fall!!

I suffer PTSD from working as a paramedic for 15 years that had some very hairy situations. I have so many memories that I wish I could forget. Dreams that causes me to relive the situations. It has destroyed my work life, family, marriage and relationships with fiends. I made the mistake of pushing too long and knowing I had PTSD. I loved my job so much and didn't want to give up. I paid the price for doing that. If I could give a little advise for people who are in potentially dangerous work or those that have experience trauma. Don't think it can't happen to you. Seek help before it even starts. It can build up over time which can make it worse. I waited too long and now I'm fighting to get a life back.

I am not veteran but I do suffer from some form of PTSD I believe. Life has thrown me some real curve balls, that many may have never stood up from again. But here I am still fighting on. Very powerful and beautiful song. The invictus games would do good adopting this as their song. It applies to so many people who underwent something traumatic, or just suffer from mental health issues. The message of hope should push them through. I am in the midst of PTSD, anxiety, depression, last year was a total mental hangover for a horrid period 2018-21. Sep-Dec last year I had a full breakdown, shut down, done with it all.
But 2023 has hit, I have cleansed my soul, got rid of the past, I am now on the upward journey to the top of the mountain.👊
And Floor, you are a huge part of that. As a 48 year old rock/metal fan I somehow arrived at 2020 without knowing you or Nightwish. I saw Ghost Love Score, then the whole Wacken concert, I was in love, hooked.
You and Nightwish are a huge part of my healing, music is one of my happy places, and your voice is the happiest place anyone can go, if that isn't weird to say.
You may never read this, but you are for me the greatest female singer ever, you and Freddie Mercury are the best, in a class of your own.
Thank you Floor for being genuine, humble, amazing, a true role model, and even old gits like me can shed a tear when you hit those amazing notes.

I can't seem to think of the best adjective to describe this song. It's nice, though that seems an inadequate way to put it. It certainly is evocative. I have PTSD, have had it for over a decade now. I don't know about becoming stronger. It's like when you break a piece of pottery; you can glue it back together, but it will never be quite as strong as before. I am acutely aware that I am not invincible. There was a time I felt that way, but at this point, I have reminders every day of how weak I am.
I am glad that this issue is being brought up. Too many folks seem to think that only military veterans get PTSD. There are many other misconceptions as well. Thank you. Floor, for the lovely performance and raising the issue.

I was trying to hold back the tears, while listening to the song, but failed.
As I said in the post that Floor made on Facebook about this song and PTSD, I still suffer from it, even after 22 years, it has to do with hospitals, doctors, nurses, medical exams, etc. I can't see a woman dressed in the characteristic nurse's uniform, or a doctor's gown because I immediately start hyperventilating, in fact, I once locked myself in clinic's bathroom, where I almost passed out from a severe panic attack.
This comes from the memories of the darkest part of my life, when, at the age of 12, I contracted meningitis after 9 unnecessary neurosurgeries, and almost died. Fortunately, my dear mother found another neurosurgeon, I underwent a 10th surgery, but this one saved my life.
About the song, when Floor mentions the phrase "broken but beautiful" she is so right, because these kinds of experiences can affect us in incredible ways, break us, or make us stronger. Yet another beautiful anthem from a beautiful, kind-hearted soul ♥️🌺

Thank you Floor, this Song gives so much hope and strength! I can’t imagine what it is like to have PTSD. It must be very very painful. But even without having PTSD, I feel like everyone has some little scars from the past that heal but never fully disappear and hurt from time to time. This song touches these scars and helps them disappear further and further. We are strong, we are beautiful, we are invincible, and we are not alone ❤️
Ptsd is like a feeling of being trapped in a time loop from a traumatic experience, for me it's hospitals.
It's easy for doctors to say to me "that was a few years ago, we can move on from this now"
Well no its not that simple.
It's painful and can take years to recover, it's going to still be there but within time and healing, things do get better.
Every night before going to sleep that same hospital experience plays in my head over and over.
It's left a mental scar.

Dit nr geeft me kippevel, ik voel zo hoe diep de betekenis zit😔 ik heb 10 jaar met een plekje op mijn hoofd gelopen waar steeds over gezegt werd, "het is exceem" in juni 2017 was het plekje ruim 3 cm groot en ben ik doorgestuurt naar een dermateloog die nam een bioptie en 2 weken daarna was het duidelijk ik had huidkanker. 17 juli ben ik toen geopereerd en is het weggehaald en loop ik met een kale plek op mijn hoofd, die kale plek is mijn reminder. Ik leef en haal er alles uit wat je kan met de goeie en de slechte dingen de mooie en minder mooie dingen. Dankjewel Floor voor dit mooie en oh zo persoonlijke nr dat voor zoveel mensen een betekenis zal hebben💞
