Maya Angelou's poem describes Michael so well and beautifully. What a wonderful lady.
I like that he was everybody's baby brother or everybody big brother...
He was My big brother.. I was an lone child for long time. He was the big brother I wanted.
I realy liked her statement about the difference between modesty and humility. And I do think Michael demonstrated a natural humility & that is what endeared him to so many hearts. Thank you, Maya, for your reading. And thank you to the tribute portrait project for adding Maya's dot to Michael's heart.

This poem made me smile and cry at the same time,just like Michael it moved me and that the magic and beauty of love.

You are another gift and angel too just like our michael. thank you for sharing not only your poetry but your love for michael and for telling the whole world what a beautiful person michael was. it is just too painful until now. i will never get over it but as jermaine said, will just learn to live with it. to our baby michael, you are just so sadly missed but lovingly remembered.

@angelasga I agree the poem IS comforting. Helps us remember that he was a Gift that we had . Despite our enormous loss, we should be grateful God gave him to us for a while.
It is a beautiful poem for a beautiful man. I wish that more people would listen to it and also join the tribute to finalise this great portrait.

My favorite poet, speaking on my favorite artist/singer/entertainer. I couldn't have asked for much more than this. The poem was beautiful & touching. Brought tears to my eyes to hear it, brought tears to my eyes to watch the video. Most of the world had not realized what we had in MJ until it was too late- such a shame that he will never get to know. Much love, respect & admiration to both Maya & Michael- MJ shall forever live on in our hearts & through his works. Thank the Lord for them both.
