I REALLY hope that we will learn more about Phone Guy because as you said, he's not just a night guard that worked there before us. He's been with the company since the beginning. They could make an interesting character out of him.
There is a theory I saw that theorized that Phone guy and Jeremy might be the same person. Maybe this book could confirm or debunk that theory

Basically the theory says that Phone guy’s calls are all recordings probably intended for the previous night guard . He mentions in those calls that he plans on taking over the position after the place opens up again.
If these recordings were for the previous nightguard before Jeremy, then this would mean that Jeremy is Phone guy.

The Fnaf book needed the most, it’s not about the cookbooks the sea Bonnie’s, or encyclopedias. This is about what started and before.
I miss the original trilogy SO MUCH so having a book go all the way back to Fnaf 1 without the other games connected to it, I couldn't be more excited!
I really hope we get a name for Phone Guy, because I only have a Headcanon name for him. Scott Martin.
Also if we got a pre-sequel for the first game as a book, that means we’re getting ones for FNAF 2,3,4, and etc. I have some good examples of what some of the stories could be:
The pre-sequel book for FNAF 2 would be called “ The Day Before” or “Before Closing”, The beginning of the story would be the day before The beginning of the second game and you’ll be in the point of view of Phone Guy again or a person that works the day job finding out some kids are going missing and you’re trying to go and find clues.
The pre-sequel book for FNAF SL would be called “The First Day”, in this story you were in the point of view of a employee working at their new job that just opened, Circus Baby’s Entertainment & Rental.

I remember being amazed by Choose Your Own Adventure-type books when I was a kid. I also remember some books that I never got through and my parents told me are actually very hard to reach an ending. Really excited to see a book like this in the FNAF universe!

This is like the (GIVE YOURSELF GOOSEBUMPS-books) with alternative endings and choices to pick through the story as character roleplay. But this multiple choices in this NEW BOOK sounds still different and strangely fun 🤩 THIS IS SURVIVAL and each decisons seems shorter and longer at random❤❤❤

The interactive book genre started even before Goosebumps, there was an actual series called Choose Your Own Adventure done in this format. The majority of them were either sci-fi or fantasy, and some of the bad endings could definitely be unsettling for kids. lol

hey I am a big fan Mr. Dawko and I wanted to say that u and and this franchise inspired me to write a book which hopefully will turn into a series. But I wanted to see if maybe u were interested in reading it and see if maybe it would be a great edition to the Fnaf Multiverse. Hint: its not your traditional fnaf book. Its got love, its got a villain unlike before or maybe a version of a villain we would love to see in the actual franchise. its a tale of a hero and his friends. It still has the basic fnaf lore we love with added lore and some extra stuff. The only part about this book thats not kid friendly is the language and the gore. I AM NOT PROMISING THAT ITS A BORING STORY! I sent it to a publisher once and they told me it was considered a phycological horror book. boom!
sunnyqlol made a good theory that its not phone guy who were gonna be playing but a security guard while freddy fazbears was still active before the mci(fnaf 1 location was where everything happened and the new book is gon explain that hopefully lol)

I would love it to be phone guy lore but I also have my doubts as it does say 5 or 6 nights and says the week before so 7 days. Unless night 5 and 6 are about what phone guys seeing or thoughts are while he's dying or we find out that he did survive it may also be someone else. If it's someone else then who might it be? Either way I'm interested in seeing how this goes and see how the community goes about theorizing and trying to piece what might be canon.
The red band on Freddy's hat on the book cover could be because of Funko, because they always made their Freddy products with a red band on the hat
