I agree with you a million percent .. you are going to stop traffic with this fabulous outfit. I have had the yarn and pattern to make the pressed flowers shawl, but now you completely inspired me to make the cardigan also. Absolutely gorgeous. It was so fun to watch you sewing your outfit. I get more and more inspired every time I watch you sewing your own wardrobe. Your beautiful smile is always a ray of sunshine on my day. Thanks for the inspiration dear Kaci. 💗🥰🪡🧵
Thank you for your kind words!!!!
Love the beige shawl with the floral pattern you were wearing! Love to know which pattern that is!
I’m so sorry to have to say that this shawl was gift from someone. It was bought at a store :(
I was hoping to ask the same thing - so cute!
Your new sewing machine looks awesome! And I also know Brother makes great reliable machines. I hope you spend many happy times sewing with it!
Love your beautiful blue outfit, and your plans to spin the yarn for a pressed flowers, that is going to be gorgeous! I really enjoyed your format. Tho I am 3 weeks past your post date, I’m still hoping you are are well and healthy again now!
The more of your videos I watch, the more I love! I cannot wait to see your pressed flowers cardigan! I myself love mosaic knitting and am in love with the colors you showed! Too many projects I want to do...😂
Congratulations on your new sewing machine, what an amazing deal you got. I have a husquvarna 1080 that is 33 years old and still giving me such great service. It has sewn many many items throat the years.
That is awesome!
I hope you and your family feel better. Have fun with your new sewing machine. The blouse and pants look so good! Can't wait to see the cardigan you decide on. Happy creating 💚🧶💚
Thank you so much!
That blue is STUNNING! Love this inside look into your sewing
Thank you so much!
That blue is a 4-season color for me!! Love I!! And YES to the pressed flowers cardi in those colors!!
Thank you!
Feel better soon, Kaci! Love all y9ur makes, as always.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful sewing Kaci!!! I was also thinking of burnt oranges, honeyed browns, cognac colors too to go with the sky blue to tip it into Autumn. Love with beige, cream, lighter neutrals for Spring for sure! Hope you and your family have a smooth recovery!! Take care~Stephanie
Thank you Stephanie!
The stain devil for chocolate works really well
Awesome thank you!
Kaci, that blue is one of my favorite colors to pair with dark chocolate brown, so I think it could totally go into fall! Great outfit and congrats on your new toy!
Thank you!
Love the outfit, and the fact that we can twin now!! 😍 Hoping you and the fam feel better soon. Lots of love, Mia. ❤
Yay!!!!! 😘
Sorry to hear u & your family are sick with COVID, hope everyone feels better soon. Love ur blue outfit. Another wonderful video TU for sharing❤❤❤
Thank you
I like the beige for a cardigan. It would be classic and go with so much, I bet you reach for it again and again. I’d make it long. Feel better soon! 🤗🙏🏼🤗
I totally agree!
I hope you feel better soon! Love all your crafting!
Thank you
Bravo for your new sewing machine! I have this Brother too and I love it. Have fun!!
I love it!
Great job on your outfit, and congrats on your new sewing machine! 🎉 The blue could work for any season, IMO. Those are both great layering pieces. It's the color of the sky, and in winter of ice. What it's paired with it will lend a nod to the season. 😊
Thanks!
Love the combo of sewing and knitting. It will truly be a me-made outfit! I hope your family feels better. 💜
Thanks, love 💕
Oh! I hope you and yours are on the mend soon!
The blue linen with your Cable sweater is the absolute best!
Oh thank you!
Beautiful linen color on you. Love Blackbird Fabrics (I am Canadian)!. I enjoy your sewing vlogs just as much as your knitting ones. I too have made a pair of Chanterelle pants and although I liked them I thought they are too high waisted. I just purchased the Dune pants from Sinclair patterns currently on sale as a new release 7.99. They feature a knit yoga waist with woven straight wideish legs with many pocket options. I saw a black linen pair in the tester versions and bought the pattern immediately! I like that the waist is not high waisted. There is also a video from Pins and Needles on all the pockets/information. Take a look I think with a ponte knit waist these will be amazing. I hope you feel better soon.
This sounds great! Thank you!
Love the garter stitch idea for a summer cardigan with your hand sews.
Thanks!
I also hope you and your family feel better soon and that it’s a mild case for you all. 🙏🏼🤍
Thank you so much!
Hope you’re feeling better soon Kacie and the dreaded lurgy hasn’t laid you too low and that you’re still able to knit at least
Thank you!
Oooh im SO excited to see you knit up that Pressed Flowers 😍 that color combo is beautiful!
Thank you! 😊
Great video - really enjoyed it. I’ve always heard that tools make all the difference in how much you are enjoying a project. Maybe a new machine was what you needed to love sewing 😉
Very true!
I have the PQ700, in Canada, a few years ago….i love it!! Congrats ❤
I see you’re in your BLUE phase! Beautiful blues, Kaci! Also - when I saw that alpaca braid I was thinking “hmmm did they call this way YoungFolk Knit?!” - because dang, it was ALL your colors!!!!
Haha thank you!
Cant wait to see your Pressed flowers cardi !!!
Thank you
oh my God I hope you feel better soon! COVID sucks! Also, I love the music that you play in all your videos. I hope that you get well soon and that your crafts bring you joy in the meanwhile.
Thank you!!!!
PSA for chocolate stains: fels naphtha bar soap!! It’s SUPER CHEAP in the laundry aisle and it’s saved hundreds of dollars of clothing from stains in my household. I don’t even bother trying other things first anymore lol. I keep it under every sink in my house now
Thank you!
Another beautiful and informative podcast, Kaci. Thank you so much, and please go take care of yourself! I hope that you are feeling better very soon. (Love your new blue outfit ❤, Chanterelles are my favourite. I’ve made them 4 times in view B 😊).
Thank you so much!
I have a brother sewing machine that is very much like yours ( older model) and I love mine. I have had mine for 12 years and it has never been to the shop. Happy sewing! Have you seen the Growing Cardigan by Lone Kjelden? I really like that one and it is in my queue to knit soon.
That is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Great podcast Kaci. Would love to see more like this one…maybe you doing one of your skirts! ❤❤
Thank you! Will do’
Love the top and pants you made. The blue is gorgeous. I think that Camellia Fiber Co DK would be absolutely perfect as a Perseids sweater by Heidi Kirrmaier. I made mine in Woolfolk Strå and I wear it all the time. It’s perfect for the AC in Texas. The lace is super simple but keeps it from getting boring too. I made the longer version and I honestly would make another in a heartbeat. I hope you and your family get well soon!
That sounds lovely!
I love the blue outfit. Blue is my favorite color and speaks to my heart. I would wear the color year-round, but I won’t wear linen after the end of September unless the temps in Atlanta were in the mid to high 80’s after 9/31. I’m originally from New England. Maybe that’s the reason I wouldn’t wear linen after September. lol. Pair the blue with a darker color sweater and I think you’ll be ok. Congratulations on the new sewing machine. ❤❤❤. Feel better soon. I’ve had Covid twice. Yuck. 🤗🙏🏻💕
Great advice!
I love that blue! Before you started showing your fiber I was thinking mustard yellow/gold would be a perfect transition to fall color to wear with the blue. 😁. Sorry to hear your whole family got Covid. Many here are got it after the RC. Sure do hope you & you’re family are feeling better.
Yes! Thank you!
I love the Ashton top pattern. Once you find your perfect fit and length, get the sleeve expansion pack. Also- I have the PS500 and love it. Particularly when sewing elastic, I love that you can set it so the needle stays DOWN when you stop sewing, allowing you to pull taut a new section. Have fun with the new machine.
Thanks for sharing!! I am loving this machine so far!
What a trooper you are pushing through a podcast with covid!
Love seeing your sewing! You have inspired me to sew but I am stuck. I have cut out some linen cropped pants but there they sit. I have a serger but don't know whether to serge edges before or after seaming. Or some before and others after. Other than craftsy can you suggest any tutorials?
Both the blue and gold cardigans speak summer to fall to me. The beige all sean but more spring to summer with your blue set, which is stunning btw. I can see fingertip length cardigan with your pant set. Thank you for another awesome video. Prayers that you and your family are well soon.
Often the pattern will tell you what to do. For instance - sew the seam and then finish your edges. Or sometimes it will say to finish your edges and then sew the seam. I follow the pattern!
Feel better soon.
Thank you
Feel better soon Kaci! I like the white but immediately when I imagined a white top with the blue pants AND your party line scarf... I thought of Fred from Scooby Doo.... Not sure that's the look you're going for! haha. I'm sure whatever you come up with will be fabulous.
Hahahahaha 🤣
Feel better Kaci!
Thank you
I like the beige for the summer cardigan. Additionally, I hope you are all on the mend soon.
Thank you!
Great episode love the sewing knitting combo.
Thank you!
Hello from France. You are so inspiring ! I like all kinds of videos ! See you soon !
Thank you!!!!
Hope you feel better !
Thanks!
That blue is absolutely gorgeous! A few minutes in I wanted to pause the video to tell you that the blue would be perfect for fall combined with any of the colours you see on the trees during Indian summer. But then I remembered that you are the queen of colour combinations and probably know that already 😍 Sure enough, your bookclub cardigan is just perfect!
In terms of DK weight cardigans my absolute favourite is the Eva. Yes, its boring Petiteknit but I love the simple style and the fit is perfection at least on my body. It does better with a yarn that isn't too drapy though (love my drapy Eva as well but prefer the look of the ones in peer gynt and and BC Garn Loch Lomond). I also love the Esther jacket and the cardigan no.9 by MFTK. Not for the DK yarn of course. You look fabulous in the blue linen set!!
These are great alternatives suggestions
What a trooper! Podcasting with Covid?! I have a really nice sewing machine but I wish I had your serger. Linen feels SO good doesnt it?
It's so good! I love line
yes to the fall! knit a creamy brown cardi! ox
Good idea!
Really like the outfit! Love your color choice. ❤
Thank you so much!!
Dear Kaci, thanks a lot for these great episodes. Love watching your creative sessions. Got lots of ideas from them. Get well soon and your family too.🍀
Thank you
I vote for the Augusta Cardigan, I’m going to make it in fuchsia. I hope you all get well soon!
It’s such a pretty pattern!
I appreciate your careful approach to wardrobe planning. Heal.
Thank you!
Thank you for this! I know you don’t feel well. Get better soon, my friend!
Thanks dear
I vote Sea Glass Cardigan by Wool and Pine. Getting ready to out it in my needles! it will go with everything!
I love that pattern!
LOL, can't go wrong with a Brother Pacesetter. I still have mine from the 80's. And a newer model too.
I’m loving it
The outfit turned out so pretty nice job sewing. 😊 I am sure whatever sweater pattern you choose will be lovely. Hope your family is feeling better. 😊
Thank you! 😊
Pressed Flowers in blue & gold hand spun.
I’m so excited for it
Love the colour story in this podcast! You are a genius!
Oh thank you!
Hope y'all feel better soon! Thoughts on a cardigan pairing - to me, cables give Fall/Winter vibes and lace gives Spring/Summer vibes. I am sure whatever you pick will be fabulous though. You have such a great aesthetic.
This is very true! Great thought on patterns. And also thank you so much!

Fun episode! Except for the part where you have Covid. Hope you're all well soon and don't have severe symptoms. I love to sew, but my knitting has taken me away from it for a while. I have a pattern for pants and a top very similar to this, and I think I'll order some of that gorgeous linen. Since I'm retired, and only have my grandkids and a few other things to take me out of the house, I have no excuse!! Isn't it fun getting a new machine? I had an ancient Singer for years, and finally treated myself to a Viking as a retirement gift, and I love it. You've inspired me to put it to more use. Thanks for sharing all your fiber goodness with us. Kim
Oh a Viking sounds nice!
A new sewing machine is so fun. Feel better soon. By the way you look a WAY better than I did when I had Covid .
Thank you!
My mom loved aqua. She wore it all four seasons and then added others colors that mostly were seasonally appropriate. Yeah she wore a lot of aqua. Your planned outfit will be stunning
Good idea!
Stunning blue/aqua set. Your scarf just set the outfit off! Great episode ❤
Thank you
Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Hello’
Feel better soon Kaci. Lovely podcast
Thank you
Just saw Everyday cardigan by peg richards included in Peace Fleece newsletter! I’m gonna make it
Oo that sounds lovely
Take care of yourself, I hope you feel better soon!
Thank you!
Hi Kaci. I hope that you and your family are getting well. Amazing podcast. Loved your inspiration for a complete outfit and the colours.....blue and brown. Can never go wrong. Earth and sky....nature's never wrong 🥰. What is your darker blue cardigan that you are wearing in your intro please? Stunning!!
Thank you! That is my iza cardigan by vert and rose
@@YoungfolkKnits Fabulous. I will look up now. I am hoping you are improving health wise 🥰
Sharon
Love everything you do 😊 your are so inspiring. May I ask, where did you get your iPad cover? You are full of awesomeness ❤❤❤❤
Oh thank you! I got it on Amazon about 3 years ago. It’s zugu brand
I want the No Frills in full length so bad, but that amount of flat stockinette on 4 mm needles is DAUNTING 😂
This is true 🤣
Feel better soon Kaci. Will you please tell me what shawl you are wearing. I love it!
I’m so sorry to have to say that this shawl was gift from someone. It was bought at a store :(
I've never had a serger. are they separate from a sewing machine as yours is? TY Never miss your podcast!
Awww thanks!!!! Yes I it is a separate machine used to finish edges! It’s very helpful but not necessary
Hi I was wondering if you could let me know the shawl you are wearing for this video please. Enjoy the sewing machine 🎉🌹
Yes, me too!
Me three!
I’m so sorry! This was a gift from someone :( it’s a Steve Madden tho if that helps and probably from tj maxx
Have you seen Stitched in Sweden's Line Cardigan - simple, summer cardi knit in Sandnes Garn Line or Drops Belle, but would be great in any DK weight yarn.
I haven’t! I’ll check it out
It took me 3 tries to finish this video but I'm so glad I did. I loved watching your creative process and I'm very much inspired to learn to sew. What is the name of the blue knitted cardigan you wore at the beginning of the video? think it's lovely and would like to make one.
Thank you so much!
Kaci, in the knitting part of this video you had a shawl/scarf over your shoulders. It was in an oatmeal colour with brown and gold/orange flowers on it. Please what pattern is it? So enjoy your videos. Thank you from South Africa.
I’m so sorry to have to say that this shawl was gift from someone. It was bought at a store :(
For Goat fun check Katie Van Slyke 😅🎉
Will do!
❤️🌈
Don’t you have a shawl or a sweater or something with a gold=sh color that has pops of blue? I could swear I remember something like that. in which case that would bring your new outfit to Fall very nicely….
I need to look thru my wardrobe!
Hey! I was wondering, do you pre wash your garment fabrics? I was always told to do that, but sometimes I just want to skip it and get to sewing, you know? Just want to know what you do as I'm getting ready to sew some linen garments. Thanks!
Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t it depends a lot on how much time I have gaha
Does the store you purchased your machine from ship out with that discount? Might be a great way for me to get a newbie machine!
I wish they did! They are a little mom and pop store just wanting to clear out inventory before they move locations
Where do you get your patterns printed? Office Depot?
I have them printed from pdf plotting .com
Do you have your patterns printed at Office Depot?
I have them printed at pdf plotting!
Regarding your sweater to put with your new outfit, I would suggest not making it too long. There is a lot of material and folds in the pants and I feel if I put too much material around my hips and waste that it makes me look bulkier than I am
Good idea!
Tell us about goats. Pictures?
We are still getting everything ready for them! Coming soon tho
Sċierp þīne tēþ and bīt swā heard swā þū wilt
I’m just never a beige girl. Why wear beige when I can wear a happy color? 🤷🏼♀️
Haha I get that
