(Ten Reasons why Early Access is worth it)
Here are the top ten reasons that you should play The Rogue Prince of Persia now, while it’s in Early Access
Gameplay feels incredible and the mobility is arguably unmatched in the genre. Jumping from poles, wall running, bouncing between walls, sliding down aqueducts, and chaining all of these moves together creates a synergistic sense of flow and immortality, which is fitting for the character.
Visuals are gorgeous. You don’t have to love a purple prince, but you should appreciate the art style and animations.
Score and Soundtrack are perfect. With the help of ASADI, Persian-American producer, the soundtrack gives life to the world with loads of different genres including hip hop, middle eastern and industrial all fused together. If you decided to head towards the hun camp, you the music will create a feeling of oppression or if you die and return to the oasis, you will be met with a sense of calm.
The story is effective as the prince is trying to protect his people from the huns and just like Hades, the story is a major reason why you want to keep playing.
Medallion system offers a nice tweak to the charm style system as placing in the right slot can drastically improve the effects and create broken builds.
Coming from Evil Empire, there is a familiarity in the gameplay. The lazy comparison, is to call The Rogue Prince of Persia just a Dead Cells skin. It borrows inspiration, but it feels unique and proves that Evil Empire have mastered game feel.
Kicking enemies into a pit of spikes is cool and never gets old. Did we also mention that you could kick enemies onto spike walls, and kick enemies into each other, and off platforms. You constantly feel like Gerard Butler in 300 and it never gets old.
Plays great on Steam Deck. The Rogue Prince of Persia does feature some nasty frame dips during loading sections, but this likely isn’t an exclusive Steam Deck problem and they also only occur during loading between biomes. They might be nasty but they don’t affect gameplay in the slightest and will likely be patched out quite quickly.
    Doesn’t require a Ubisoft Account.
Loads more content coming including more biomes, bosses, enemies, weapons, and upgrades. The Rogue Prince of Persia begins Early Access with 6 biomes, 8 main weapons, 6 tools, which are secondary weapons, 2 epic boss encounters, and 30 medallions.
As always, remember to be nice to your fellow gamer, but more importantly, be nice to your fellow human.
