      The answer to your question is: The guy in this video. 'Cheap Seats Cruz' was the worst thing to happen to BA in years. He cut, slashed and ruined the carrier with his policies having many flee from the carrier. Forcing fares up to cover lower pax #s as he raced to provide a LCC service with full service carrier pricing.
      I think it was nearly universal amongst passengers & staff the joy when he left. Although with the coof then showing up it's doubtful it'll ever recover things fully.
      (( NOT to say BA hadn't made mistakes before he came along. Simply that he opened those wounds deeper and worse))

      I completely agree. I remember the pre-Schengen flights in Europe with proper food and silver wear. Then everything when downwards. Since 9/11 you can't even bring your own stuff. If I wanted a Sandwich, I go to Subway. Plus you can't just pay cash on a lot of Airlines.
      Second, Airlines do not consider how much you have actually already traveled.
      When I fly to Europe (I live in the States and not too far away from a big Airport) the Adventure still takes close to 24 hours until you arrive at your destination. Flying is an absolute hassle. I used to have quite a few frequent flyer miles and even flew Concorde. Today, nothing gets me on a Plane, unless there is absolutely no alternative.
      I can understand that for the Holiday Makers, it may still be exciting.
      On my end, I wear shoes without laces, so I get through security as fast as possible. If one travels frequently, that is an absolutely annoying process.
      Same is Passport Control at a lot of Airports where you can't sit down anywhere or get any refreshments and the wait can be long and you are already tired and upset.

    • @edwardfrench9925
      @edwardfrench9925 Před rokem +1

      Boeing are cheaper and every airline likes the ability to play one off against the other. BA used to be exclusively Boeing for longhaul and assumed they got a great deal as a ‘preferred’ customer…until seeing what American carriers were paying. Anyhow, having flown both, I am not one little bit disappointed that I’ll never fly a Boeing again…if I can help it. Airbus is a superior product and this is reflected in the purchase and operating costs.
