Thunder consistently had a less out of control Russ early on with Ibaka down low in their primes. Sometimes they had unfortunate injury history, and other times KD didn’t come through in the clutch such as 2014, 2016, and then with the nets. Curry had a comparable cast and actually makes them all better. Including Durant. What was their record again while on warriors when Durant was out ans then when Curry was out ?? Oh that’s right, undoubtedly better with Curry opposed to Durant. He went in, played defense and simply played ball. NEVER doubled. Ever. It was Curry getting the doubles. Durant 1 on 1 all the time? Pffft. We saw them both with comparable squads THIS YEAR go against the same team and had two different outcomes. Even if you argue warriors were better, Curry went off against double teams while Durant couldn’t make a pass out of a double team. Durant is definitely top 15 all time but there’s a reason Curry has conversations about being top 10 and Durant doesn’t

People will say KD chocked against Milwaukee in 2021 but not once did I hear anyone say Giannis chocked against Boston this past playoffs. All people had to say about that was “Giannis gave it his all…he was tired in Game 7 after carrying the team throughout the series…if he had Middleton, they would’ve won, etc.”. All the same things could be said about KD and his series against Milwaukee.
