- Can’t decide between a fruit pie or a fruit crumble? Why not go with both! This dessert has a pastry base and a buttery crumble topping. It’s packed full of lovely juicy blueberries. I love it topped with ice cream, thick double cream or homemade custard.

Oh my God, this is gorgeous! I used that Madagascan Vanilla custard (cold) over the top - the whole thing was devoured in 15 minutes between 3 of us!!! Had to make another, sadly ......
This looks so delicious! I'm going to skip the pastry base and make this as a straight up blueberry crumble recipe .. really loved your crumble mix including egg, looked very cakey crumbly! Can't wait to try x

I make my crumbs with just brown sugar, butter, flour, and rolled oats.
What happened to bilberries that my mother used in pies? Blue berries are but a pale imitation of these delicious gorgeous berries.
After blind baking , why does my pastry stay raw in the middle when cutting Nikky?
When laying out the pastry, put ii under the over to half cook. If you look at her's, it's partly cooked. I do this with most of my pastry bakes. Hope that's what you wanted to know..
