Thanks for reminding me again what comes inside of Logic! Man, I get so caught up in the consumer feeding frenzy and feel like I just 'need another plug in' that I overlooked what I already had in front of me. There are some limitations but you can always do a midi line, bounce in place bring into Sample Alchemy or another sampler and still have your way with it. Thanks for the vid!

Good stuff, Dan! All the third party stuff that is out there can be so daunting. I'm working on familiarizing myself with what exists in Logic Pro (10.7), and some of the stuff is absolutely amazing! I'm going through the sections in the library one at a time and trying to take notes to help me become familiar with the library. Thank you for the video!

Even though I've had logic a moment and thought like other musicians I needed other libraries to make the most exciting music, I need to learn logic backward and forward and use what logic has abs then I might know what I need if logic can't give me what I need. Don't see many others using j uh ust logic”s plugins, but other plugins use in logic. You did a great job. Going to subscribe to your channel.
Thanks for the sub! It’s always best to start with what you have and exhaust the possibilities. I’ve spent a small fortune on sample libraries, but they haven’t made me a better songwriter or producer. You’ll find after a while you may start reaching for something that’s not there, then you can dig into other libraries. Best of luck and happy producing!
Dan... how fun this was to watch. While the samples that Apple provides are somewhat equal to the Spitfire Labs series, you were able to create a very listenable track. It's funny, but almost as soon as I purchased Logic, I found Spitfire and started to download Labs and purchase a few of the Originals series, then moving on the Albion One, Albion Neo, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra Core... all with very wonderful samples that sound much more real. You showed me that we can use nearly anything to create a track... so kudos to you, my friend.

Thank you so much for this comment! I really do appreciate it. I think I have always been inspired by great filmmakers and music creators that use the most basic of setups. And on the opposite side, I’ve seen really poorly produced work done with the absolute finest of equipment. I think at the end of the day, our journey is one through practice, and no sample library or piece of gear can ever make up for that. Cheers!

@@DanTremblayMusic I am in the process of getting the M2 Mini and getting rid of some plugins i haven't used..and getting some that would help me more...your demo shows that the melody has to be good...what i have been working at for a long time and haven watch and listen to a lot of new Librairies Mostly Spifire, it is time to go simple but really good, for me...thank you again..will be watching all that you ahve and will post..neighbour from Morin Heights, Qc
Hello Dan, I'm still very much at the beginning of my project. I decided last year to start my own business. I would like to make music videos, image films, logo reveals and smaller films. Possibly. Commercials with FX and SFX. this is a challenge for me, but I have had this desire since childhood. I'm tired of logging into a stock site. Now I've found out that with Logic you can actually compose everything yourself and how easy it is. I just found your video and am so glad you are taking the time to explain all of this in a way that is easy to understand. Thank you very much for that. I will follow you now and would love to learn from you. Although I'm German, I understand your pronunciation very well. That's great. Let's see what else you've shot for tutorials... That’s excellent! Go for it! Great things come out of limitations and yes you can absolutely create good music using only logic. I too have always wanted to create projects that were entirely shot, edited and scored by me. Hopefully one day I can make that happen. Best of luck!

good stuff right here! i only use logic too. love limitations. 3rd party should be used to compensate for time in case you've time sensitive clients where lot of moolah is at stake. until then stick to stock.

Very interesting- I'm looking for a way to fatten up my videos to sound cinematic. So this gives me an idea of how to do it now. Any other suggestions you have I'm open to learning.
Music and sound go a long way, depending on what kind of content you are creating. So sound effects are another really effective way of making your content more interesting. Most DAW’s have built in effects already and it’s pretty easy to make your own.
Like this cinematic example: very doom and mystic. I love that! Would like to have this template. (Can you send me? 😜) Meanwhile I think so too: I would hardly need 3rd party plugins for my needs and ability, except maybe 5 to 10 which I wouldn‘t do without. Thankyoufor this very interesting little project!

I'm a novice, what's your list of audio software tools do I need to invest in?
If you’re a Mac guy, Logic Pro. It’s worth the investment and pretty intuitive. Play around with all of the built in samples. If you get to a point where you want to reach a bit further, I would add Spitfire Albion ONE and Spectrasonics Omnisphere. You could easily score an entire Netflix series with those two libraries.
@@DanTremblayMusicGenerally you get everything with Logic you need. But of course if you have enough money, there are incredibly many professional audio software instrument companies out there. To name a few: East West, Native Instruments, Spitfire, UVI, Arturia and many more!
Is there the script up there you watching again and again?
Nope.
I just happened across this video and decided to watch it. I’ve been making music for over 30 years now, but over the past 4.5 I’ve been solely DAW based. I use both GarageBand iOS and Logic Pro for iPad. I do have quite a bit of 3rd party plugins but most the time I use the stock sounds and effects.
This one was started in GB iOS and then moved to LP4iP to add more and then finish it off. Everything you hear is stock instruments and effects. I didn’t use any 3rd party anything for this. Please let me know what you think.
