I've never felt the emotions, sentiment, or been in this type of situation for all my life until now. I teared up when I first saw this scene years ago. You could literally hear the love in her voice and the emotion and anxiety and relief as she said the words she'd been holding in and the speech seemed so unplanned like she just couldn't keep it in anymore because it was eating away at her inside and her stumbling over her words made it better. Not to mention that speech was a lot more empowering. She wasn't "begging" for Mark's love or saying love me, pick me. The speech was more about just letting him know just how deeply she felt for him and how even if she had a better option in Jackson that it wouldn't work out because it was HIM she wanted. Here Meredith says its humiliating but in that scene Lexie says how free she feels and how much better she feels after saying that. Just my opinion.
