I found the limit siphon materia and i cant believe how little videos ive seen on using it.. its kind of an amazing materia probably one of the best in the game
What ACTUALLY is broken is using Magic Focus materia paired with Time materia on tifa with 2 luck ups and enemy skill. You haste yourself use plasma discharge and spam unbridled strength and melt every opponent while you arcane ward magic spam with aerith and cloud.

I sometimes forget this game is about builds!...I get comfortable with the things I have equipped and leveled, but rebuilding with other things that may not be as highly leveled can yield big results.

@@blindender9979 okay i will explain. This is how it works. This is what you use and then i will explain how it works.
Magic focus paired with time increases the potency and duration of the paired materia. This way time last longer. Luck up increases your chances of landing critical hits, you deal more damage when its a critical hit. You use steadfast block, atb stagger, skill master to build ATB. Enemy skill grants you access to amazing skills like soothing breeze which heals all party member, rancid breathe with has a random chance of dealing multiple detrimental status affects on enemy and plasma discharge. Plasma discharge is a area of effect attack that deals damage to a wide range and it triggers once an ATB gauge has filled. So this is what you do. On whatever your setup is, personally I use the Kaiser Knuckles because they have the highest attack damage. On your weapon skills you equip concentration which has a 50% chance of you entering a battle with unbridled strength active. When you start the battle if it triggers you can use omnistrike immediately. If you do, that will fully charge one ATB. Then you use Time haste on Tifa to build ATB faster. Then you use plasma discharge and use attacks to charge another ATB. with skill master this will also build ATB faster and now you can use unbridled strength to use omnistrike over and over again. So you have Haste, building ATB, skill master and steadfast block building ATB, plasma discharge unleashes a free attack when ATB bars charge, and when they charge you use unbridled strength to use omnistrike which immediately fills and ATB. You literally just spam this over and over and it destroys opponents. Thats why magic focus is great because it extends how long time lasts for on top of that. You always want tifa in your party as she deals the most physical damage in the game and on top of that she builds ATB like crazy with this strategy and plasma discharge is just a free attack
I’ve been seeing a strange interaction lately kind of related to this. Not sure if it’s a bug or what, but I’ve been trying to go through hard mode while using the hp/mp swap materia on Cloud. Every now and then, when Cloud is down to 1hp, (Reprieve,) his limit fills and stays filled. Even when I use his limit, I can always immediately do it again forever until the end of the fight, effectively making him invulnerable until the fight ends. This has already carried me through boss fights.
It might even be intended, whenever reprieve procs, no matter on which character, the limit gets filled. I guess if you use the hp/mp swap your hp is always considered so dangerously low that you get your limit filled immediately once reprieve procced, kinda nutty tho!

@@ishamail24 It doesn't do it normally. Just tested it twice. First without hp/mp swap, aerith's reprieve procs and she gets maybe 10% of her limit bar (the death blow gave another 10%). Second time with hp/mp swap, aerith's reprieve procs and she got maybe 25% of her limit bar (death blow brought it up to about half).
I really do not want to buy a PS5... buuuuut FFVII Remake was the most entertaining game I played in years. I want to play this one sooooo badly. I hope the NG+ hard mode is super engaging

I've done this, and it definitely works. But i wouldnt say its overpowered. It still requires some basic game knowledge, and ability to stay alive. On hard mode anyway. Im doing brutal challenge 6, and most of the fights finish faster and easier when i dont focus on this method. Its good for people to know about this though
If poeple suck at fight 4 of brutal 6 this will deffo help.
@gillcuylle4901 I tried, got the gilgemesh once, he murdered me in about 30 seconds. Much faster then this set up would take. I didnt know how to fight gilgemesh, so I hope it gets better, but now Odin and Alexander won't let me pass. I just had Alexander take me out with his limit break when he was one less the 1 percent HP, he was done. And Aerith was at full health, her reprieve didn't kick in. It should have, but it didn't. This game sometimes is nothing but a reminder to never buy a square Enix game again.
Alexander has a karma mechanic so just have magnify esuna and you will never be destroyed by the robot again. If you actually analyze and read the descriptions stuff like alexander oneshotting you won't happen. @@thecasualcanuck4590
I used the Limit Siphon on Cloud with the accessory that maxes out his limit level... then I used Yuffie as my battery... Transference Module and Limit Support. I used her broken Enemy Skill (Plasma Discharge) + HP Absorb...

Just like remake. You get the gotadrmguhg after you don't need it anymore. The one fight you need it for is for the guy with the white hair in the simulation and it's disabled for his fight.
Use it on hard mode, believe me your gonna need it
I just finished my first playthrough with almost everything, I'll use this for my hard mode playthrough to get the platinum
After I finish the game no playing anymore I got a massive backlog as well as two upcoming games this week rise of the Ronin and dragons dogma 2, I still need to finish this game this week

Something even easier that I found, is to use the enhanced expedetionary medal on cloud and have almost every folio upgrade on him (the ones with limit involved are the most important ones) then you will want to use a sword that has limit bonuses as well. Either limit guard boost or whatever works best for you. If u use a limit on an enemy that is just about to be staggered, it will boost your limit to half again (given you stagger said enemy with cloud) and you can use your limit break a lot. On large enemy groups its just blocking a lot, a stagger here and there and then u can use the limit break on repeat until the group is dead.

Not sure if this good for brutal encounters. Maybe hard mode for sure. That's because hard mode brutal challenge is almost unfair and just having infinite limit break is eh. The question becomes using LV1 or LV2 limit breaks against these enemies and they're doing jackshit. Then Aerith gets overwhelmed. Dies and the loop dies.
But will this stop u from getting 1 shotted by Odin ?

3:40 how come you have expeditionary medal and the enhaced version? how do you do that? once i upgrade to the enhanced version i lost the normal one
The items for the base version are farmable. The enhanced are not

Once your party level is 10 (basically end game) the final buffs make limit breaks so much faster.
How do u get to party level 10. Mine is level 9 and I can't get the last of it
@@malwd6321 you have to complete hard mode on the proto relic challenges.
There are 4x fort condor hard mode challenges, 4x cactuar challenges, and 4x gears and gambits. In your world intel, it will show you at the bottom of the page for each region which ones you didn’t do (there will be a document for each challenge denoted by a page symbol).
I was in the same spot as you because I was baffled how I was missing 40 xp.

You can only get one of each of those end game accesories

@@zhenbin2613Theoretically, you can farm GP at the Gold Saucer, buy the feather, then reset Chapter 12, buy the feather again, reset Chapter 12, buy the feather again, so on and so forth as needed, depending on how much GP you farmed beforehand at least.
I don’t know if this actually works, but that is how the game is designed so you should be able to.

Is about time a game let us have the end game content before we ever need to finish the game, for me there is no point in get all those op gear after the game is done I mean what is the point? Or at least give us a lot more after end game content that makes up, so at least will there be a point on doing all those hardcore missions etc to get those sweet rewards

has anyone tried magnify and reraise? whats the frikking deal with this. When I used it, i did not see magnify symbol when casting, like normally u see a symbol next to firaga for example so u know its firaga against every enemy.
there was no symbol, i pressed L1 nothing, nothing appeared.
then when odin zantetsuked me, i saw all party members revived. so clearly it worked right?
next time i casted it, same thing happened. odin 1 strike killed everyone but this time only aerith got reraised. what the fk? does magnify and reraise shat work or not.
When you go to add it to the slot attached to magnify, is there a white circle around the materia? The game tells you whether or not linked materias benefit each other. So the first check is to see if a white outline appears i.e. try adding item economizer to maginify, there's no white outline around item economizer in the materia selection screen, but there is one around fire, ice, etc... Also once both materia are in the slot, the slot group itself will have a white outline.
@@dawgbone98 really? didnt even know this exist. Game really does a horrible job explaining basic menu. Took me 2 weeks to figure out "set all" option exists for materia. I literally finished the entire game before finding out u could set materia for every character at once.

Anyway, i tried it now. I can see the white outline on materias combinations that work!!! so helpful but never explained in the simplistic game menu. lets face it. it is simplistic. same reason why enemy intel cant even be ordered alphabetically and u gotta browse through every single one to find da right intel...
anyway, magnify + reraise = no white outline. so I guess it doesnt work.

I have all the pieces to this (I think) but haven't tried it yet :O you forgot to mention btw that Party Lvl 9 is required for her Lv 3 LB.
I've just been abusing Synergy + Comet on Aerith to spam it as Cloud builds ATB ridiculously fast. Having Tifa spam Unbridled Strength + Omnistrike during staggers at the same time is also really dirty as it basically refunds itself and is a great way to build 300% stagger (which is also a trophy)

I agree the combat is alright and the story is good but chapter 13 is a drag worse part of the game to me. Chapter 9 too if I remember correctly the cait sith box

Does Aerith's limit break level up the limit breaks of the other characters? or just fill Their Guages?
If just fill their guages do you have to keep using synergy abilities each time the guage is filled to level up the limit break or will it stay at level 3 for the length of the battle.
Aeriths will always be rank 3. The rest would be at rank 1 but you CAN craft another expeditionary medal to make it rank 2 for them. Sadly you can’t get another enhanced one

@@conundrum60690 Ok, For Cloud (with the 2nd accessory) his limit would be at rank 1, and after 1 synergy skill, Rank 2. It will remain at Rank 2 for the rest of the battle.
So you will be able to use his level 3 limit break repeatedly until the end of the battle at which point it will reset. (Based on another video of someone using this method)
Lets hope that the developers don't decide to nerf it....

You can do all of this or just equip genji gloves and go to town destroying every mode not dynamic.
oh yea of course why didnt anyone thought of that...u just need to first beat gilgy, have every dark matter available, to unlock genji crafting. then gather all the genji ingredients which require u beating the legendary fights...and then u will be OP!!!

How stupid. You have to carry items now that give you access to your limit breaks. Why did they change that from remake. It worked fine. They changed so many things that worked just fine and now the game in my opinion feels very tedious and work like. Just to do the moves you enjoy. Rather than just building your limit breaks and picking which one you want you now have to do all kinds of moves that you normally would not because they're not your favorite moves just to be able to unlock the limit break you want to do. Some boss fights I guess that's okay but most fights the enemy doesn't even last that long and you don't get to see your favorite limit break. I don't know there's just so many changes in this game that makes me like remakes combat system so much more. Not as cluttered. It's like every system someone recommended they decided to implement it in some way shape or form and lots of them just do not compliment each other. I want to love this game and I love remake but rebirth for me not so much
The combat definitely has some perks in this compared to remake, but I agree sometimes the Synergy Skills get tedious. I preferred the refocus material in Remake that gave you 3 atb for the whole fight when your limit was full instead doing a synergy skill to get it temporarily
They nerfed a lot and made all the f hardmode not hard but also horrible tedious.
And now the world completion feels like a generic Ubisoft game with all this towers, pints of interest and poor side quests. I like more how the optional content was on the classic games where everything was bound by the lore and it sounded like a challenge and a adventure.
