Those are not heat shields, Iphones are not space ships. They are RF shields. P.s. tattoos are just dumb real dumb.
I don't fix iPhones or any device for that matter I just watch these to support the movement, thank you so much for making these videos.
You ( STS , louis) are my first teachers (legends) on youtube everytime i see your video i learn more and more…GBU always ✌️
I even say the same thing on my channel thanx Jessa and it's thanx to you but for hdmi ports I also recommend using low melt solder
THANKS A LOT. I USED max heat max nozzle in xs max in order replace u2 ic
the board is dead because cpu damage. so now I used nipper. thanks
Many thank to you you help us to find the best method to fix any thing so your are very fantastic woman.
You made it look so easy!!!
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you
Thank you Miss 🙏❤️ finally someone explain it right
15:30 Not putting back EMI shields is not a smart idea. As engineers, we put these in RF designs for very good reasons. At best your device will emit unwanted EM and will no longer be compliant to the regulatory standards, at worst RF circuits will affect other components and cause internal malfunctions, or will be affected themselves if the RF sections are sensitive and result in degraded performance. And if you really can't put things back as before, at least solder it back with 3-4 points attached which will be far better than nothing.
You mentioned that you typically don’t replace the shields once removed. When removing the thermal pad then shield from the processor, would you add thermal paste or pad directly to the exposed SOC to maintain some sort of temperature regulation?
Well explained as always thanks a lot
Hi. God bless you and your family
THANKS
Thanks girl.
Nice tracks thanks 👌🏻
Really nice thanks
The reason why the students do not use maximum heat, airflow and nozzle diameter is easy to understand. It is that they do not want to damage components underneath the heat shield. Judging by comments here their caution is justified.
Would going in quickly with 500 or 550 degrees celcius on the Iphone 8 and newer shield make a difference?
Thank you for the nice tip. That's where i got ichy.
I hope this answers why
OMG that tattoo! Lmao that's amazing! Talk about dedication!
Lol, I totally ruined my note 9 just taking off 1 of those shields. Never booted again. I was super gutted and it's made me seriously think about my repair capabilities.
roses alloy mixed to the surrounded solder of the shield would lower the melting point to 100 degré
That can float components and make a mess, so we don’t use that method very often. Sometimes on the Samsungs though
Awsome ty.
Thank yoo!
Im your new subs from philiphines
Hey curious are you still seeing touch ic / audio ic repairs in your area? Seems to have lessened quite a bit
Not really. We have retired those from our microsoldering curriculum and swapped in connectors and split board resoldering.
@@JessaJones Yeah I think those cheap $30 eBay techs have taken that market lol
XR shields 🙏🏻
Max heat yes. Big nozzle yes. Max air depends... Max air can be too much even with a big nozzle. At some point more air is pointless. Depends on the station and somewhat the details of its regulation control loop. Good stations should be able to regulate a constant temp all the way to max air, but they also may be able to put out way more air at max than you really want. Obviously with no standard you just have to get a feel for your station.
Of course the best shields are removable. Nothing better than a good snap-on shield.
I have a iphone xs max no display i test to power supply but board is always on/off what the kind of issue of my iphone xs max
