I stay in Jomtien every time I'm over, which I will be again on Thursday. It's great to relax from the stresses of working life, Deano's sports bar on Soi Whitehouse being the best of the bars, lot's more regulars and expats than Pattaya, with less two week millionaires (except myself haha), some great restaurants and massage places, in my opinion and if you want more action, a 15 minute Baht bus into Pattaya is easily found. Can't wait to be back over!

Philippines was alright but it’s no Thailand, and I don’t think I would go back there.
Hotels were too expensive in the Philippines when I went, and it's a pain to fly there from Thailand. The bars were ok but I didn't like all the child beggars and guns on show in the streets. I have no intention to go back. I prefer Cambodia and Vietnam for a change of pace from Thailand.

Not sure about your comment of: Not good to swim in Jomtien sea: I have been several times and swam each visit for two or three weeks. I haven't seen any evidence over 4 years to back up that statement. Apart from that, i liked the video.
Just keep your mouth closed .I prefer to swim in a pool anyway.
I didn't get down to Jomtien, but the smell from Pattaya beach definitely kept me out of the water and it isn't that far away.

8000 baht is cheap for a small apartment? I rent a detached double storey house in Bangkok for 15000. Sitting on land which is 600+ square meters.
You can get cheaper fan places for 3500 baht but most foreigners wouldn't ever consider staying there. The 8000 baht for a studio was merely an example of an apartment for rent.
@@Bangkok112 Why TF are apartments so expensive when so many of them are empty? Especially so far from BKK...
I got more grass in the yard than those apartments have floorspace. Hell, even the two driveways / carports would cover more area.
Do you reckon that condo/apartment prices are overdue for a crash here? I do. Actuall I hope it lasts for a few more years whilst I wait for my main stock to explode.

What’s the atmosphere like at the moment with the Coronavirus? I’m arriving in Pattaya in April from England and I’m just praying the crisis doesn’t get any worse.
Just a handful of people wearing masks just like in this video. Thailand apparently hasn't had a big outbreak (yet) and it could be due to many different factors. Follow your government's travel advice is all you can do really. Thanks for watching :)
