  • How to awaken kundalini ? Left Brain Power & Right Nostril Breathing I IDA PINGALA SUSHUMNA Episode 3. The science of breath and Swara yoga from the right nostril activation.
    In the video we will explore the benefits and method of activating the Left Brain Activation.
    Kundalini yoga is an authentic spiritual practice whose roots go back 3000 years. In ancient Indian holy sages called Rishi's sought enlightenment through discovering the secrets of the body and mind to find the divinity hidden inside. This video is going to introduce you to the basic concepts of Kundalini and in the coming videos we were explore the Breath at a deeper level.
    Their insights and experience and special techniques were documented into Sanskrit literature called Upanishads.
    An astonishing energy resides in everyone of us called kundalini energy layers coiled at the base of the spine (Dormant like a sleeping snake)
    This sleeping energy can be woken up by certain yoga, mantra and breathing exercises.
    Once aroused the kundalini rises up through the base of the spine upwards through the chakras releasing waves of ecstasy.

    👍 Superb ! Abhi 👌
    An outstanding and a well articulated video on the working of Pingla in the body, explaining beautifully well how the inhaling and exhaling of the breath from the right nostril can activate and dominate the left brain.
    Also interesting to note that we can, at will, switch our breaths from the right nostril to the left nostril and from the left to the right to achieve the desired results like being an introvert or an extrovert.
    And nothing like having a balance between the two lobes of the brain through the process of the regulated breaths.

    I am so so happy I found your channel. Not only do you provide such invaluable information, you also offer practical and applicable solutions. Much appreciation!! I just have a question about this video approximately at the 9:15 mark. You say that if we are breathing from the left nostril when eating, we should switch to the right nostril. Wouldn’t this stimulate the sympathetic ns (fight or flight)? Should we not be in parasympathetic mode (rest, digest and repair)?.... so shouldn’t we then be breathing through the left nostril? (When eating and sleeping?). Thank you 🙏🏻💕

    • @MeditatewithAbhi
      @MeditatewithAbhi  Před 4 lety +5

      First of all i want to congratulate you that you understand these topics so deeply. Thank you and yes i had the same question from my guru and some of the concepts from the western science are paradoxical in nature to this 3000 years old science. As we continue to go deeper in these topics we will bring awareness the more subtle aspects of what elements (Earth, water, fire, air and space) are active with which nostril. But for now coming to your question, the food should be consumed when the right nostril is on and preferably with the right hand called (Purnanga the dominant hand) and the water should be consumed when the left nostril is on. Therefore, in ayurveda they talk about giving a little gap (15 mins) between eating and drinking water after the food. Within 15 mins of consuming the food you will notice that the left nostril dominates automatically as the body goes into Para sympathetic mode to push the energy towards the digestion, when the actual digestion starts. However, the time of food consumption and 15 - 20 mins afterwards it's best to be in the right nostil when the body is preparing for the digestion process to take place. Apart from this the best asana to sit after eating is Vajraasana. Hope it helps :) Namaste

    • @MeditatewithAbhi
      @MeditatewithAbhi  Před rokem +2

      Very deep understanding my friend. Yes as you practice and go deeper into swara yoga you will start noticing that your left nostril (Ida Nadi) stays dominant during most of your day and pingla during the night. This is a desired state as your mind is calm and the creative energies are highest throughout the day and digestive and healing energies are repairing your body during the night. However, this is a natural consequence and should not be forced as the mind and body change in different stages of your life. Many 🙏 thanks for engaging here

    • @MeditatewithAbhi
      @MeditatewithAbhi  Před 4 lety +3

      That's a really good question vinod ! Sleeping on left side would activate your right nostril ...this should only be done immediately when you are taking a nap after eating a heavy lunch or dinner. However if you eat early dinner which is recommend than you should start by laying on the right side to activate the left nostril (right brain) for activating your parasympathetic nervous system and lucid dreams..when you sleep the body's intelligence takes over and it will keep you turning from left to right automatically !

    So, first of all I would like to aspirated your efforts in sharing such a subtle info with us an in addtion letting us clear our doubts.
    So my ques is.
    Based on the fact that either of ours nostril works and these both have differnt roles to play depending upon type of activitt we doing.
    I have a ques that although brething from Right nostril is considered imp while having food.
    Based upon the facts, what if the left nostril was active during our food intake.
    In that case, what to do??
    My second ques is.
    As u mentioned that breathing through right nostril can do wonders.
    What I have realised that mine left is active.
    So, if I try to shift my brething to the right nostril (By proper act as shown by you)
    So how long shud I keep that practice?

    • @MeditatewithAbhi
      @MeditatewithAbhi  Před 2 lety +2

      Knowledge about the nostrils is good to have. However, manipulating the nostrils should only be done when you have a headache or some problem with the body. I always say the body has the intelligence already in built and that's why it switches from one nostril to another throughout the day approx. every 2 hour. The best thing to do is to get your body aligned with Yoga, walking, workout and good food and observe how the body switches the nostrils automatically depending on the task on hand.
      Yes right nostril is preferred while you are eating, but the aligned body should automatically switch to right nostril if you are feeling hungry. Hope this helps my friend.
      I have been creating more videos on "the school of breath" channel advanced yoga such as bandhas which are very important in aligning the body here is the link czcams.com/video/FiHBk-Zo5sA/video.html
