According to the Brookings Institution, the Colombo metropolitan area has a population of 5.6 million, and 752,993 in the Municipality. It is the financial center of the island and a tourist destination. The area of Colombo city is 37.31 km² with the number of people living in this city based on the latest census is 626,000.
Meanwhile, the challenger for Colombo in this video is none other than one of the economic centers of India, namely Mumbai. Mumbai is the capital city of the Indian state of Maharashtra and the de facto financial center of India. The city area of Mumbai is 603.4 km² and the population inhabiting this city according to the latest data is 20,961,000, a 1.42% increase from 2021.

The cleanliness of any place depends on the awareness of the people using the place. Not only the city of Colombo in Sri Lanka but even the small villages are clean and well maintained.

Colombo and suberb population is 8.5 million . Comparising Mumbai with Colombo not fair Bcz Mumbai economy is very strong . Even it is a economic capitol of 1.3 billion Nation.
