  • In this video I want to show you how to tie a Double Globe Knot. It should not be hard, but may be confusing, but don't give up. As I usually saying don't be hurry in tightening. Pull cords more times a bit, than one and hard. Good luck.
    What you need:
    2 x 6ft pieces of paracord
1in ball - material is your choice / it could be little smaller or bigger than 1in
Music tracks from CZcams Audio Library:
    0:00- 5:30 Malmo Sunrise - The 126ers
    5:35- 7:46 Up above - Letter Box
8:00-12:44 Venice Beach -Topher Mohr and Alex Elena

That was/is a very good presentation. I might even be able to do it. I've got a couple of about 1 1/4" balls from ball bearings that may give the filling a little heft. Using the 2 different colored cords helped a lot in following along. Thank you so much !
I've got black, red, and OD cord on hand. Now I've got to figure out what color combo I want to use.

I'm choosing this method to make a monkeys fist keychain over the traditional method.
(The globe knot just looks so much cleaner and durable.)
I plan to use a short series of square knots at the closing of the globe knot. Reducing then to two strands, creating a diamond knot with small silver beads on each side. Then a series of snake knots after the clasp to make a short handle.
If it looks like there's too much going on, I may just continue tying the square knots all the way to the clasp.
    Thanks for the inspiration!

I wish I could wrap my brain around learning to think upside down and backwards. Once I have a knot or weave down I don't forget it but learning when I have to stop the video often so I don't miss something, I would need an extra hand to run the mouse. But what the heck, with this self quarantining I have nothing better to do to take up the boring time at home. Being retired has its advantages and disadvantages.
