I've driven in Europe where you need to fold in your mirrors to get through some of the over walk in a small town to 150 mph @ 6500 rpm 9000 rpm was max for my car and walked the streets and alleys of Soul, Korea and Kadina, Okinawa. Just simply amazing and interesting. You all knew of the KT band so just enjoy this vid and others that graciously ULed. My thanks to all the ULder
Was unaware that the band members alternated between being flag bears and playing instruments. That they not only practiced the band numbers but the flags routines as well. That is what makes them a well organized and diverse band.
The flag bearer or color guard do indeed play instruments, but frequently the instrument is not suited for marching such as the upright string bass. They do play in the sit down concerts.
New YOUNG Band Director Yutaka Kaneshiro from April 2018. Excellent (115th Class) Drum Major “Okazel” New music pieces & the harmonisation on the road even better than 2018 Tournament of Roses Parade, I think.

小柄な女の子が大太鼓を叩きながら、一生懸命に縦に横にリズムよく揺らしながら、行進している映像を見かけました。
これから何kmも大太鼓を叩きながら、縦に横にリズムに合わせて揺らしながら行進できるのだろうか、と心配になりました。
生徒達一人一人全員が、とにかく、とにかく、全力で、楽器をリズムに合わせ揺らしながら、満面の笑顔て、演奏しながら行進する光景に驚きました！
世代交代しながらも相変わらず素晴らしい響きですね。
気分が滅入った時に聴くと元気をもらいます。

立ち止まって体が動いていない時の、演奏力のレベルの高さよなぁ(汗 ステップ踏みながら演奏するのが、京都橘でさえ、いつもめちゃくちゃ難しいってことがわかる。
撮影者さんがカメラ持っていても拍手したくなる気持ち、わかるよ！
橘の演奏演舞はすべて好き、座奏では全てのコンテストで優勝できるようなスキルも見せます。でもその中でも橘の素晴らしさが最高に輝くのはやはりパレードでしょう。
彼らが振りま撒く幸せウイルスは観衆の中を通り過ぎる時、最強の感染力を発揮するようです。

パイプの音色、音量もとても豊で、私は日課で視聴しています。非常に魅力的な高校生達ですねっ。草々

For some reason I like watching it from the back, I hear all the instruments more clearly, from the front I can’t hear the flutes and the clarinets 😅❤

凄いですね！やはり、ローズ出場が大きな経験になっているようですね！皆さん自信に満ち溢れている様に感じました。
しかし、京都さくらパレードと言い、長岡京ガラシャ祭りにしても、毎年思うのですが、パレードの一部コースの狭い所は、
考え物だと思います。ファンも撮影したい気持ちは解りますが、もう少しマナーが有っても良いのではと思います。同時に、学校側や
主催者側も、これだけの人がパレードのコースを埋め尽くしているのですから、危ないと思います。
既に、2019年の京都さくらパレードでは、とある学校が観客とぶつかっている場面が有ります。
このパレードでは、沢山の学校や団体が参加しています。特に全国的に知名度の有る学校が沢山参加しています。この人気の有る
学校のパレードの時の人だかりは異常とも思うほどです。参加してくれている学生たちの気持ちを考えると複雑な気持ちになります。
私も同感です。自信に満ち溢れています。しかも、本人たちの気持ちとは別に人気は国際的になってきています。海外から是非私たちの待ちで演奏してくださいという声まで高まっています。今後、国内はもとより海外から見に来る人が間違いなく増えます。何しろ世界の京都ですから。かと言って本人たちは活動を制限されたく無いでしょうし。全ての人にとって頭が痛い問題です。
