  • In this video we show how to make skulls out of plastic milk jugs. Using a bucky skull as a model. The bucky skull can be found for purchase on E bay and Amazon. The bucky skulls are made of a hard , thick plastic. I also use a resin and ceramic skulls as models.

I don't do "spooky"/gore because I have vivid, sometimes violent nightmares, my husband is a combat veteran and emergency medical provider, and our kids get bad dreams from some of the gorey commercials and billboards haunted houses like to vividly advertise around Halloween time, but as a crafts person I want to thank you for this excellent method to reuse material to form around a mold. CZcams suggested this video to me and I am very grateful for your excellent tutorial without the horror other Halloween crafters often include in their craft tutorials. Thanks for keeping it kid friendly so my kids can enjoy this video and not have nightmares! I have a ton of ideas of items to try this method with 😊

Hey y’all! This is fantastic! After the pandemic, my husband and I were forced to move into his nieces basement apartment. Good thing about that is her husband is a contractor. He has lots of tools I use for my crafting including a heat gun!! And wouldn’t you know it, I save milk jugs! So I know what I’m making! Thanks for the “how to” video!! See ya soon!

Without finishing the video or reading any other comments, I’m taking a pause about a third of the way through right after the spot where he said I locked in the eyes and the nose and part of me would like to do this a different way if it were Minecraft. I think I would like to have a skull that is hard like a plaster or a cast maybe even in concrete or thin set with a solid inside. I could see putting these in an oven instead of heating them externally with radiant heat. that’s only active in the area that you project it. I think if it was in an oven, you would be able to put it in for less time with greater results.
I think the heat gun is the long way of doing this.
