I'll comment on the salt part. Kenyans are really health conscious. And as such, they find it prudent for you to add salt to your liking. That's why we don't over-salt. Plus I think it's part of basic culinary arts. You'd rather have salt on the side for someone rather than too much or too little while cooking.

I love it that Kenya is not “salt happy.” Too much salt is not healthy. In the U.S. I have to ask fast food places to omit the salt for my order. I’ll be glad to experience low salt in Kenya. ❤

In Kenya, we are conscious of the problems of salt so we don't take a lot of salt. A lot of Kenyans also don't take sugar. I have a sugar dish in my kitchen that has turned to stone because I never use it unless I have visitors. What I use a lot is black pepper. So we always give people the option to add salt and sugar if they want.

Most food in Kenyan fast food restaurants is usually saltless. It's best for business to avoid oversalting or undersalting.
If you want meat that is not dry, you simply order "wet fry" with soup on the side.

A single constituency has several wards being controlled by MCAs(member of county assembly).Overseer of running of county affair is a senator. So, governer and mcas are based in counties while Mps and senators are based in Nairobi - parliament and senate respectively.

Usually love draws back love and positivity draws back the same. That is how human beings are wired to relate. By now you must have realised that Kenyans are open minded. The enthusiastic reception and love your trio received was in response to your disposition, demeanor and attitude. It may not largely have been a spontaneous action. Your hosting family, the fans, subscribers and viewers from Kenya are people who have been following you for a while me included. You have heard of the brutal Kenyans on Twitter. There are some neighbours who come here, loathe and envy us and some cheeky Kenyans hit back. You came with love, objectivity, opennes and a sisterly attitude. For your case you gave love and it was reciprocated.

We used to have districts too, until we implemented our new constitution in the early 2000s (I think), which included a devolved government (less centralised, more powers assigned to local governments). That's when the regional names changed.
The devolved government is actually a big reason why Counties have been able to develop (infrastructure etc), as there's now more effective and efficient allocation of funding country wide instead of being concentrated in the central government.
Oh, and zebra crossing is definitely not racist 😅 leave "pedestrian crossing" to Americans.

In public or at home, Kenyan food is made to appeal to diverse preferences....no excess salt,no excess spice or none at all! That way, anyone can add salt or any condiments on the table at their own liking or taste. Healthy eating! 👌
The county and governor aspect is based on divolved government where public services should and must be at the grassroots as per our new 2010 constitution.
