Versions before Windows 8 are informative. Windows 8 makes the information simplified but less scary but There's a downside. The downside is that It can confuse users

The difference is corrupted or missing system files are automatically repaired by windows 8 and up. This screen only appears if you have horribly screwed something up beyond repair.

I had win 11 pc with legacy bootloader and i bricked it using easybcd (i almost died because of win bootloader error) now the pc is stuck on win 10 😔

Windows 8,8.1,10 is same as Vista,7,5384.Just depending you choose or Change boot move

One thing to bear in mind: Windows 8/8.1 and 10 had different text below "Recovery": Windows 10 said "Your PC/Device" instead of just "Your PC"

Longhorn had a standard BSOD. That is a common Windows misconception. That failure screen is only on one build, 5048
