The BGC M88 humbucking pickup set takes its design cues from era-specific OEM and aftermarket designs that helped shape the ‘80s hard rock sound. A bold-but-balanced wind and a ceramic bar magnet delivers enough “push” for hot leads and crunchy rhythms but is equally at home delivering clear, articulate clean tones. While they'll sound phenomenal in any guitar, they are truly a ticket to the '80s Sunset Strip when paired with the GX-1. BGC M88s can be purchased only as a matching set if you want to sprinkle a little bit of magic on an axe already in your arsenal.

Heh. I know the feeling. Control layout big pet peeve, and the only ones for me are Regular Fender Stat, Ibanez RG placement and Shechters placement for the SS.
Which i actually like the most, it's perfect and I don't even think if ordered a custom and tried to specify where my controls exactly be that i woulda got it this perfect. So it only took like 30 some years. If i bought one of these, and it is cool. I'd mod the hell out of it, which still makes it 80's style because that's what we did anyway, but I'd swap the toggle with the volume. I don't mind those toggles I like the MII style look and it's still functional, but i way prefer a blade 5 way at the perfect angle and my volume within perfect pinky reach.
