My grandpa worked in that building from around 1921 till 1957.
its a nice look inside of the shops, that soo many termanals on the railroads in teh usa had, photos like this of the backshops around north indiana are rare I have scoured the web for photos but they are hard to come by even the pennsy shops in fort wayne that they called the altoona of the west for the west part of the lines of the pennsy, there are only a few photos I know of and fort wayne was a major important place for the history of american railroading as far as the pennsy goes, it was where they would often open up th engines across from ohio to see what they could do to make time and there are stories of no less then 120 mph on there if not more but never official as the speed limit on the fort wayne was 79 mph but this was often exceeded by the crews making time on the fort wayne racetrack.
