Last summer I went to West Virginia for the first time to do some filming. Despite all the negatives you hear about the state I absolutely fell in love with it and it’s natural beauty. Granted I was only there a few days but every single person I talked to was super friendly. I visited the flatwoods monster Museum in Sutton. Sutton is a pretty, peaceful little town. Now it has a Bigfoot museum (was closed when I was there) and a Bigfoot festival. Thanks for sharing

I live 10 miles from sutton. I was very disappointed with this game. They did a poor job with making it like West Virginia. It's a shame they failed with this game. I remember how mad everyone was with how it turned out. I only played it for 2 Weeks and I was done. Plus I haven't renewed my ps+ since 2018. Things are going bad here though. It looks like a zombie apocalypse here with everyone on drugs, crumbling infrastructure and buildings, stores closing, people leaving and those of us that are left can barley afford to stay with almost no jobs. Things are truly rough here and it doesn't look like it's going to get better. It was much better 10 years ago.
I’ve done some research on West Virginia in the process of making these videos and it’s truly depressing how far the state has fallen since it’s hay day. It’s crazy how so many towns have these beautiful late 19th, early 20th, century cores that appear to be falling to pieces. I’m not counting the state out though. The landscape is absolutely beautiful and with the expansion of high speed internet and remote work, Im hopeful that the state will return to prominence. The opioid crisis is a massive problem; big Pharma ruined a lot of people’s lives, in Appalachia in particular. I don’t know exactly what it’s going to take to fix that problem as opioids seem to be a really difficult addiction to kick. Hopefully as people move to the state to work remotely, the economy will improve and with it, the general health of the population.
