Use half logs and cut them down to smallest size walk up to your fire and add them to it (there will be 2 white dotted line prompts over the sticks for you) the fires last much longer with firewood.
Can you try to carry more flasks/canteens? I believe that was an option in the past. Might be helpful. Thanks for the awesome content.

Buckle up! Lots of tips with no spoilers! I have 150 hours in the game since the full release, here's all the best tea.
Don't worry about that weird blueprint just yet, you'll need another item to make it work, and even then the function is really weird and obscure (several of the blueprints are weird in function like this... ignore those for now)
If you place a radio with Legatha nearby, she will dance to the music now and then.
The game is gigantic, take your time and explore every inch
If you make jam with berries it keeps you warm, hopefully you have some or can gather loads ready for next winter. You need a cooking pot with water, 5 blueberries 5 salmonberries and 5 twinberries I think. The winter jacket is good too, or the hoodie, and carry a stick torch to keep warm too anytime you have a free hand. A fire with 2 lots of firewood in a fully enclosed room to sleep in is a must for winter, and a big bonfire outside is a big help when building outdoors, and great for kelvin. Go and stand next to it now and then (standing next to any fire will help but the bonfire lasts ages)
You don't take fall damage in vehicles - including the 3d printed sled, the knight v, the glider and the golf cart. You are not immune to attacks from cannibals, mutants, demons and moose but you won't take fall damage, even from the highest cliff, long as you remain seated/vehicle equipped.
Talking of vehicles, Kelvin can now get into the golf cart if you are near one and tell him to follow you and then you get in. He needs to ride next to you i think so one of you might need to get on the back so Kelvin can be in a main passenger seat.
Only players can perma-kill Kelvin and Legatha, not cannibals etc (sorry Katelyn!) be very careful doing heavy attacks when you can't see all around, and don't try to talk to either of them when you are carrying logs or stones as it will injure them pretty badly.
You can store severed heads, legs and arms as effigies on sticks and they don't go rotten, then you can make Greg stew whenever needed.
The flying helicopters don't do anything, it's just that guy at the beginning who hits you keeping an eye on you.
Please eat and drink enough regularly to keep your stamina meter fuller and stop those awful breathing noises, it also helps increase your strength levels overall which means your health lasts longer in battles before you die and you can run for longer (keeping warm also helps if winter or up the mountain)
Some of the caves are absolutely huge and confusing and you get turned around. Take plenty of sticks, cloth and small rocks into caves with you - sometimes you can place wall torches for better light, and you can leave small rocks around as a breadcrumb trail if you keep getting turned around. If something seems like a dead end but there is water, you'll probably need to dive with the re-breather. If you don't have any materials with you, sometimes you can just leave the blueprint for say a wall torch and it serves as a marker.
Cream of mushroom soup and crouching helps with stealth, great in caves for sneaking past some mutants (you don't always need to kill each enemy) and for hunting deer and moose. Leaf armour is for hunting stealth.
You don't need to store duct tape and cloth on shelves, you can carry more than you'll ever use (something silly like 1000) however its good to store light bulbs, hides, rope and c4 (and anything limited number in inventory) on shelves... and place any solar panels and batteries (even if not connected to anything) so you can pick up more
The cross only works on demons, it burns them and is the most effective thing against them. But afaik you haven't met those yet in game (they walk on all fours, their limbs are kinda pointy and they do a scorpion type motion attack with their back legs) guns etc eventually kill them too but the cross is great. Some of the mutants also go on all fours but their limbs aren't pointy and they don't do the stinger kick.
Leaf traps are to set on fire, eg lay a load of them down outside your base (if you do one inland at any point) in a wide and long line, then throw a molotov and all of them will catch on fire - can be very useful
Any of the large cannibals that you can't carry to a fire, you can still burn for bones by hitting their bodies with a lit torch
You can drive the Knight V over that turtle shell glider launcher you made and it basically sends you to orbit (just be sure to remain seated unless you equip the glider mid air!)

other thing to note about strength, in 1.0, they made it so that strenght also increases your melee damage by 1% per level. so at max level 100 you do double damage.
also some of these are kinda spoilers, the thing about demons and the cross. I would have simply said something like, "the cross does not work on any enemies you have encountered yet." it lets them know they don't need to worry about the cross until they try it on a certain enemy, and it also rules out all the ones they've seen so far.
also, E&K, or anyone else reading this, if you try that last tip with the Knight V on the glider launcher, be sure to save before hand because ive had it happen and others have too where when you come down from orbit while on the Knight V, you end up going through the floor, and you have to swim back to the ocean to get out from underneath the ground
You can also upgrade all of your weapons. You need a blueprint first, just outside of the snowy mountains region on the north east side.
@diwanthegreat omgosh spoilers!!! E&K play these games to have fun and discover stuff, don't spoil that you can upgrade stuff like that! They were so curious about the solafite ore and you just spoil its main use ughhh.
@@tabithal2977 Ive seen too many people finish the game without doing so, cause its in place in the map where it's hard stumble into. Edit: took out the orb bit.
@diwanthegreat 1.0 put markers on all the spots and caves, if you go anyway near the spots or look at the notes (which e&k definitely look at the notes for clues) the notes point to old houses where the caves are
Tips and tricks. You technically don’t need jump towers. When using the launch platform wait to pull out the glider when you are at the top of the launch/mid air. Doing so will make you go higher in the air without the resistance of the glider. When flying, dive down to gain speed then pull up at a 45 degree angle until you are about to stall out. Repeat this process and go as high as you want. You can even make it over the mountain. Cheers.

in the future if you accidentally lose a companion you can quite easily go into the game files and change to code to revive them :)

Next time you are at a 3D printer you should print tech mesh, then see what you can make with it in your inventory. It’s pretty cool. And I feel like we really missed an opportunity to call the other towers yeetus repeatus.

1: Until your strength is 100 chop trees instead of using the chainsaw. Chopping trees is the primary way of gaining strength and more strength = more health and melee damage.
2: Your launch tower on the beach can get you anywhere on the island without additional towers if you master the climbing technique with the glider. The attitude gauge is key in mastering the glider in general. While flying normal, ie not banking, landing, or climbing, make sure the dot on the gauge is in the circle. When you want to climb pitch all the way down till the circle hits the limit of the gauge then immediately pitch all the way up till the circle hits the opposite limit. You don’t need to delay to gain speed. The initial pitch down will get you enough. When you reach the limit pitching up hold there and keep an eye on the tree line/horizon. You will see yourself gaining altitude. Don’t worry about stalling out, as long as you are gaining height you’ll be fine. When the rate at which you are gaining slows to almost a stop reorient the glider to neutral. Repeat until you are as high as you need to be.

Wanna get ultimate height with the glider launcher? Ride a Knight-V over it. It boosts you almost as high as the snowy mountain!
Beware, you might glitch through the map when you land, but if you have the glider on a hotkey you can equip it while you’re in the air. You do seem to lose the Knight-V when doing this though.

You can save when ever you like as long as you have a silver tarp and a stick, you can place it almost anywhere and save as you please, i have even had it work in caves but that could have changed after the update.

Does the launcher work on enemies? Can you build a fence of launchers around your base?

you wouldn't want to build glider launchers, but you could built a bunch of spring traps. The glider launcher is essentially just 4 spring traps all together with a wooden base. You find spring traps in the same section as all the other traps.

You could of just respawned Virginia aka Legatha. 😂. Type cheatstick on the keyboard. Then hit F1. Then type Addcharacter Virgina
Then hit enter.
She has to warm up to you again, but once shes back, you just give her the wepons back.

this stream was absolute chaos and i loved every second of it
You can go over the mountain with the glider but you have to gain altitude a few times to get high enough. Funny thing about the glider is that it doesn't follow normal physics, so you can get infinite altitude. If you try it with just one time driving down for speed then going up it will go slow but you can do it several times in a row to maintain a decent speed
This. All of this. Once you get the hang of flying you really don’t need launch towers because you can fly from anywhere at any time for as long as you care to.
Follow gps and find missing campsites with soldiers they have some fun stuff to play with

As Katelyn is so handy with that axe, can you test the armour types? Really should be using flesh armour so you don’t have to be respawning or reviving so often. As funny as it is, it’s time to be OP.
If you look at slow-mo of arrow flights, they flex a ton, they need to be pretty flexible, I think resin would be too stiff for an arrow shaft
Check the notepad again to get kelvin to gather Stone it should be there its there for other players if its not there for u then its a issue with ur game stone isnt crazy important but stone floors look nice lol
Place the turtle launcher on the very top of the mountain and then when you use it, you will be able to have a really awesome flight and an amazing view of the entire island!!
I ride electric unicycles so I was excited when they added it in during early access but I def think it could have been handled better control wise. Although like riding one in real life you get used to it eventually and it becomes invaluable in getting around the map
Many petrol heads seem to hate it. Yeah once you use keyboard to change direction, its great.
But I like the Golf Cart too, as you need to keep an eye on the battery charge. I daisy chain Golf Karts when travelling long distances.
Use wall torches in caves to mark your way through & not confuse your directions easier
Tip if you make the launchers throughout the map make a vary small basic base (some walls, shelves and storage) so you have some supply caches around. Then when you're on a mission about to go somewhere where there is lots of supplies, then you can drop some stuff off without going all the way home.
Use one of the golf carts on the launcher 🚗✈️

Use the launch pad as defence from enemies by placing 3-4 along the shore
you can pump your gliders a little too...gain speed by falling then tilting back up you can basically fly forever

Civilians don't get the best toys. I read about a printer a few years ago which used UV lasers which would fire directly into the vat from three sides, x, y, and z. The resin would cure at any point two or perhaps all three beams would intersect. They called it volumetric curing. The part would essentially solidify within a few seconds in the center of a vat of resin. The resin had to be clear. Perhaps this was too expensive to create a version for the average consumer. Haven't heard anything about it since. (for context, 1:05:52)
resin printers are commercially available, just pretty expensive. a lot of doll/custom toy makers use them.

The regular cross, which is/was found in a decaying hand, is used to repel demons found in a lava cave. I couldn't find what the cross from the blueprint is used for. I did find something about where to find the different blueprints.

Heard you say mods stopped working. Depends where you were using mods. They work for a site called sons of the forest mods. They even have a mod to censor female parts. It's great for streamers. Endnight even implemented some of their mods in a patch.

Do you guys not know how to gain elevation with the glider? You can take off from the beach and end up on the tallest mountain without any other help. All you have to do is point down, gain speed, and then point up gaining elevation until you run out of energy, at which point you point down again to regain energy, rinse and repeat. With some practice and some creative zig zagging up the hill you can go as far up as you want. Also, There are often updrafts next to steep cliffs
Didn't need any of those towers, you can gain infinite altitude in the glider

On the topic of your arrow ideas, I just really want U guys to make sure U don't end up with a bunch of resin shards stuck in your head 😭
I do archery myself, and personally I wouldn't want to fire a resin arrow, because I would be too worried about it exploding in my face as I release it.
The majority of arrows people use are wood or carbon fibre so yeah that carbon fibre shaft is a good idea, however, the shaft has to be constructed in a specific way including a hollow centre and a few other design constraints. This is important because the arrow needs to flex and bend when the force from the bow is released into it, if it is too rigid it will instead shatter and explode. I have heard too many horror stories of people trying to make their own arrows out of dowls or sticks and having them fail when fired, so I just wana make sure Ur both being really careful and taking the safety concerns into consideration if you plan on firing them yourselff!
