I can't imagine losing so many children. So sad.
The leaves crunching sounds like someone chopping on bowl 🥣 frosted flakes cereal 🤔 🤣
Ron , my sister and I used to love walking around graveyards reading the inscriptions and wondering about the people buried there . My sister died in 2011, and I am disabled now and can’t walk far , your videos make me feel as if I am walking with you and taking in the fresh air , thank you . I know my sister would have loved them as well , I miss her so much , it’s SO sad when people die young … God Bless Ron .
Yes! Mount Carmel Another beautiful walk in this beautiful cemetery!!!
So great to join you on your wanderings through cemeteries to show those who have gone before. Gorgeous pictures of our ancestors and some unique stones also.
The de vita family that was so sad mum died when he was one dad 2 may they be resting in the eternal arms of the lord thanks Ron there were so beautiful headstones
As in the grave of the DiVita Family- The stone is large and wide so most likely the family is buried side by side, atop one another, in twos.
Beautiful Lina and Neri and Sam may they all be at peace
As i watch you walk thru these places I cant hhelp but wonder what happened after the photo was taken. Id love to travel back just to observe to see and heear these people who are long gone, but not forgotten.
Thank you so much for getting out and walking these lovely cemeteries for all of us.
It means so much to me, more than you know. I just had surgery, on my heel, I had fallen& broke a chunk of it & it was resting on a big bone spur I didn't know I had.
Because I have a degenerative bone disease I'm out of commission for 10 to 14 weeks. Your videos mean more than you know, I look forward to them daily. Thank you, Jan💙
get better soon, there will b e some summer here left for you to get out and about.
@@FacesoftheForgotten Thank you so much for the well wishes, it means more than you know. You're all so very very kind. 💙
@@debbiebutler3815 Thank you for the well wishes, it means more that you know.💙
Everyone looked so classy back in the day! Even watching old movies the men and women were always dressed up when out and about.
@@grievousangel8655 the girls at work laugh at me when we fly somewhere for a conference. (Or used to back when in person conferences were a thing) because I dress up to fly. It’s just a thing to me. Idk 🤷🏻♀️ makes the trip that much more fun.
My family doesn't wear sweat pants in public , unless we are going out to work in the yard or walk around the track. We don't wear sweats or pajama pants into shopping or dining out. We still dress in Sunday best for Church or Sunday Lunches even if you don't go to Mass. We always dress up for Christmas, & Easter & the major Holy days. If my husband busted his mother on Sunday with out a suit & tie she would ask him if he forgot what day it was. My 3 sons have gotten away by telling grandma they were in a hurry & they have their tie in their pocket. Lol she is very old school. 89 no use trying to get over on Grandma, she will let you know God sees all.
@@blazefairchild465i think dressing up makes special occasions even more special. Maybe I’m old school but I miss those days when we used to do that...
I worked in a cemetery and loved my lunch hour, just to sit and enjoy the silence it was that peaceful. However, I just wanted to say when there is 1 headstone and 4 descendants name on the one headstone, they are together in a double side by side in a legal internment of 2x2 and another 2x2 ( 1 buried a top of the other) and it is perfectly legal to buy and bury 4 in this manner in a family plot a double side by side.
People dressed up when they had photos taken as it was a great expense back then. May they all Rest In Peace.
So many of these photo's look like my Ancestors. That is some equipment your using. The video is crystal clear and you can get so close to the stones!
@Fran DiStabile- I recognized the last name because a grandparent had the last name "Stabile" (all be it slightly different yet uncommon). I really enjoy this channel, especially when the stone carvings are in different languages. As hard as I try to forget Italian, the language never seems to go far out of my mind. I stopped speaking the language the day my father passed away. Yes, the faces do look so familiar. I can almost hear the different dialects and smell the food coming from someone's kitchen as the family gathers around.
The grave of the little american italian girl LENA she died when she was 10 years old, such a beautiful kid. Very nice your making vlogs about this tombs⭐
I so love the cemetaries you show in chicago...the history the pictures gravestones and statues. I am thankful for you bringing your fans every video
Being into genealogy I so wish all graves had these type of photos. It’s so great to see al their beautiful faces. Bless them all.
My father's sister and brother-in-law are buried in the same grave. He died first and the grave diggers dug the grave deep enough for her coffin to be placed on top of his when she died. This was in New Jersey
Most of these people seem to be Italian. Having been married into a very old world Sicilian family, I can tell you that many times the marriages are early teens and also mostly arranged marriages. Loving and devout families. Thank you for the wonderful work you do.
We really appreciate you! Thank you for doing what you 💕 love to do for us👏😀
late again but iam in for another good video
I wonder if “not stepping on the graves” is because in the old days graves would cave in so people were told not to step on them and it just became a respect thing
Good evening from Italy.. thanks so much for your videos on the cemetery of "Monte Carmela"
You post so much quality content that I’m spending some glorious Saturday night hours catching up 😍
Mary Jane Pagano Died of Polio on May 9, 1945 at St Mary's Hospital, she was 20 years old.
I met a guy in California, he said he was one of the last to be crippled in both legs by polio , he was born in 1956, and had all his baby shots. They even told his mom if he hadn't gotten his polio vax, he would most likely have died.
Poor Anthony! An orphan who died in the war😢
What beautiful cemetery make me very emotional when I see the family's also the children so sad great videos Ron
Hello Ron and we're in 🍂🏦🍁⚰️🕯️
Big fan of you're story's
Love and support from Italy 🇭🇺 Stay Safe 🙋🏼♀️🎐
It's sad to see alot of young people pass at an early age. I do like how people dressed back then. Great videos from this cemetery.
Love your cemetery walks and that you take us with you. You are correct that so many die young......makes you wonder what happened. I know sometimes the dates can be telling but not all. Thank you for putting info up when you do find it......safe travels 💗🕊️
I love ❤️ ❤️ watching the Mount Carmel cemetery tours that you do on your channel The pictures on the tombstones are absolutely beautiful 😻♥️♥️❤️❤️🥰🥰🌹🌹🌷🌷💝💝
Love this vlog.😊 I watch the other one this morning.very interesting.😊🇳🇱

Hi Ron from Texas!
Oh thanks Ron, you have made me 😊 once again. Your vedios, I told my friends to start checking your awesome vedio. Many have said they have been watching you all along. A hearty thank you from one of your fans out here I'm Chicago. I've keep many of your vedios to show even my son has viewed them.
Another great video
On every video I watched at the beginning I always say Hi Ron! Might be weird to some, but it seems like I'm on the trip with you, be safe 😷 and Viola 23 yrs old look like a model, beautiful young lady, The way they dressed in that that Time Era was so elegantly and so classy, alot has changed, but I'm happy you making videos for them not to be forgotten, Thank you again Ron! 👍😃
I always love the faces. 😊 Thank you
I don't know why but the Italian monuments are my favourites in these cemeteries. Thankfully they had the porcelain photos on the graves from a long time ago. It's nice to get some idea of who these families were.
Love the quality of your videos...thanks for sharing.👍
So many that had a very productive lives ahead of them, and passed away so young!!!😪
We learn so much in your videos!!!👌😇
I like visiting cemeteries too. I am fascinated with them. I also am very respectful of the grave sites. I live in WA so I have visited Jimmy Hendrix site twice.
Another beautiful cemetery with beautiful stories. I too, could spend hours & hours in cemeteries. But not in the dark! Lol.
Several of my family members and my husbands are buried at Mount Carmel. I will have to check out your other videos of there.
Well I really enjoyed our little walk through the cemetery. Lot of Beautiful Stones. I bet they would cost a mint today.
Thank you Ron . God Bless and Keep you Well. Sandy from Maine.
Hello Ron. Thank you for all you do.. 😀☕🙏
Another great video ❤️
Just waiting for the day when you happen across one of my many relatives resting at Mt. Carmel. It's bound to happen sooner or later. Enjoying every minute in the meanwhile. Carry on, Ron!
Thanks you my friend 💕💕💕💗😘
Thank you for your service Pvt.Anthony
Can't wait for another video Ron keep up the great content
MANY THANKS! I DO APPRECIATE IT.😊
Tempted to visit the Chicago area, if only to go to Mount Carmel. Thanks, again, for taking us to this beautiful site. Lu Ann
They're all so well groomed, hair and clothes. Many were so young when they died back then, no vaccines or antibiotics. Polio took some of them, diphtheria, pneumonia, etc.
Tetanus killed some. Even minor infections like a blister on the toe - as in the case of Calvin Coolidge, Jr. - could progress to a deadly infection within a week! As much as people may pine for a simpler past, I'll take today, thank you.
TB killed millions also. In fact tb currently kills more than our current little virus has.
I love these walks thru the cemeteries, so very sad that soo many died soo young! Makes me want to know their stories, how they died.i cannot imagine the pain of burying your child.Love all your videos, Ron, please keep them coming!
I've just recently discovered your channel and I wanted to tell you how much I have been enjoying your videos especially the ones of cemeteries. The photos on headstones are so cool. I love that you say their names and we all get a glimpse into the past. Thank you for all that you do!
amazing video's loves this it saids alot of the past
Wowza, what you go through so we can be right there with you. It’s really nice Ron! Thanks!
Great content, like always..
Beautiful Cemetery And
Mausoleums 🙌
Very Peaceful 💐🌺
Rest In Peace to All
That passed” 🙏🌺🌷🌹🙌
Thanks Sir 👏
You are a good hearted man bring so many ppl whom past away back to life by telling their stories or showing there faces ♥️🤗 very interesting alot of your videos are keep up the great work;)
I really appreciate these videos. I love the crunchy noises, the chrystal clear videos, and the effort you put into your channel! I’ve followed you for some time now and you have grown by the several of thousands of subscribers! Wow! Amazing stuff Ron...fireside chats, recaps of the week, favorite places you visit and such on that chair would be awesome 👏! Keep stretching that imagination!
Don’t be afraid to step on graves in a Catholic cemetery, for many years now they have required cement vaults so the ground doesn’t cave in. I do not believe you are being disrespectful by stepping on the graves because you are sharing the beautiful tributes their families have made for them. That is something not seen so much today. Thank you for your wonderful tours. I can’t remember, have you done St Adelberts or Graceland cemetery’s? I grew up in Chicago and have family buried in St adelberts.
st. adelberts is coved under the fire episode, thats the cemetery I grew up next to. I am not inspired to do Graceland, its been so overdone...maybe this summer.
(later in the episode here--czcams.com/video/pU1lczxMr7Q/video.html)
Anthony De Vita's father was Clemente. Marco was Clemente's brother. Anthony's mother was named Annie but no grave info on her.
Makes you wonder what life is all about.
It’s all about the ‘dash’ . I read some wise words once about the year of birth, and the year of death, that those dates weren’t important, it was the bit in between, but, I think those words are more apt for the older ones, not the young
@@shirleyn546 yes...I chose puppies, since my pup is snoozing next to me & cause my fiance is sadly allergic to cats (but thinks they're cute anyway)
The young children that died on the same day probably died from a disease such as yellow fever pneumoniaEtc many times took out more than one child in a family
Thanks Ron
Thank you for letting everyone join in your many travels. 🤗
One set of my great-grandparents are in a 4 person plot but there are 2 side-by-side, one across the top and the last one across the bottom.
I'm a new subscriber, just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate and enjoy your videos! Love how you are doing your part to help tell the stories of the people from the past! Great job 👏 👍
I love your videos. So much history. I use to go to cemeteries and read the stones. Very interesting. Thank you! Keep them coming!
Thanks Ron for another great video and have a great day.
I don’t know how exactly the photos are attached to the headstones but I find it amazing that most are in very good condition and clear. You would think that decades of rain, snow and sunlight would fade them or damage them somehow especially considering that some of them are nearly a hundred years old.
Thank you for taking me away for a while!
Great video as always! I like how your viewers enter comments on how some of the individuals died (if they happen to know why). Interesting stuff. Keep up the great work! 💛Monica
every video is so interesting
Another awesome show.. ty
Burials are not necessarily side by side but on top of each other. It’s nice you don’t want to step on graves. But the graves may not be as spread out as you think. Mat only be two across but a couple deep.
Those tombs of stone or granite are awesome. My father`s brother died at the age of 15 from tetanus due to a gunshot to a hand
LoL😂 Ron ,you said
"There's a couple of beautiful women over here, you know I'm tall but let me reach over here with my mechanism☺️
**That's what he said**
(😂You left that wide open ,sorry, couldn't help myself)🤣
Can anyone tell me what the meaning is of the crosses on the head stones being tipped on an angle. Such as the stone right behind Ron at the very end. There seems to be a lot in this cemetery. Thanks Ron and all that can help answer this question.
Hi there and thankyou again for a great video. One thing that sort of disappoints me alot of the people in both the USA and Australia would have been inturned in like a prision camp even though they came to our countries pre ww1. Just the way of the times. Thank you history makes you think!!
This cemetery i never get tired of the videos and you are a wonderful presentater.presentation. the headstones are just 😍 and I look forward to every video you present. This cemetery is one I always stop and visit when in Chicago. A great 👍 channel and I love your presentations well photographed and you are a real pro. I got a new phone bigger screen just doubles the viewing experience
FANTASTIC RON, ALL THOSE YOUNG PEOPLE, MAKES YOU WONDER WHAT HAPPENED , I GUESS IN THOSE DAYS COULD HAVE BEEN FROM ANYTHING ,ILLNESS , ACCIDENT , WAR ,,MAY THE PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM ALL 🙏🕊❤
Hello! New subscriber here. I love your vlog! Have you done a story yet on Joe Gliniewicz? He was with the Fox Hills, IL Police Dept. He staged his own suicide after years of criminal activity would be exposed. He is buried at Hillside East Cemetery in Antioch, IL.
is this him?? www.findagrave.com/memorial/177090222/charles-joseph-gliniewicz I have never heard, this seem really intriguing, I'll check into it, if I do it, you get the shout out Paige!! ty.
Really gorgeous looking men and women! Good show..
People in those yrs and before died from so many illnesses we have medicine that cures now and vaccines...accidents happened alot. I have been vcccv to cemetaries where parents buried 5 sometimes 6 babies to 4 maybe 5 yrs old. I could not get through something like that.
What a lovely and idyllic section there at Mt. Carmel. The crunch of the leaves, the crystal-clear sunlight filtering through the trees and the chilly air (as indicated by your clothing). Autumn is my favorite time of the year. On the flip side, so many young people departed! Tuberculosis? Spanish Flu?? Or were you in a section that was intended mainly for the young? Another (as usual) enjoyable video, Ron. :)
Great video 📹 👍 Keep up good work 👏 👍
I want to go to the Vietnam wall. .
lucy looks ferry ill on that picture.
I like to seethe faces

Hey Ron it's your friend Pj. Not only do I love what your doin. I love the story's, I really fill something like this story when very carefully come across pictures on there grave stones it , I can't explain it but you could read more of there faces because you can see someone and want to say" Tell me more than what I can already see I there style Mabey the 20s or I've even seen some my own age. It really hurts. Keep up great job. As always. Pj💖
I got married when I had just turned 15 years old.Our relatives said it wouldn't last.We have been married now going on 56 years.
Well you proved them all wrong. Congratulations to you and your husband 👏 ❤ 💕
congrats Verna!!!
Congratulations Verna!
My parents met on Savannah Beach in Georgia when my mom was 17 and my dad was 22. Three days later they got married in Mississippi and stayed married until my mom died at age 62. Nobody thought their marriage would last either. I love stories like yours and my parents.
Stay blessed “🙏
And Congratulations for both of you 💕❤️😀👏🙏
