This a piece I really love for such a teenage composer. The pianist plays beautifully but drags a bit. Clara was dead against slowed down sentimentality. Chopin loved this piece too and the whole cycle to which it w belonged. He was given the autograph copy. But the pianist plays with such feeling and conviction that all is forgiven.

No interpretation is perfect. If we wanted somebody to play a music as the sheet tells to do, we'd have machines playing, like piano rolls, what would make the songs lose all it's grace.

Yes, you are right. But I certainly don't like mechanical playing and was only making aslight criticism about the speed.
