So the Banjo Question. Yes, he played Banjo. He also played about every kind of Guitar thingy u can Imagine. Blues guitars, ukuleles... He once won the Rolling Stones Magazines Bass contest, where only established artists could send in their stuff, and everything got judged without knowing who was who.
He won over Les Claypool and a bunch of other genius Bass players. Buckethead is from another planet. The Sultan of Strings. An Anomaly. And one of the sweetest guys you could ever meet. Who loves Music, his fans, and performing live. One Love.
Pike 65, do it. Dedicated to his mom who passed, one of if not his best song ever. It's a very long one but it's worth it.

Hell yeah! As other comments stated he is using a killswitch. He also did an album that features Serj from System of a Down as a guest vocalist the song is "we are one". The album is fantastic should check that out. But that is one album in over 300 (no joke). Glad you enjoyed it and I'll have a think about what the next Buckethead track i will suggest is!!!
He sometimes lets the crowd tap the killswitch on his guitar, it's pretty cool

I knew the song well enough that he got all geeked and started bobbing ihs head in approval. Then he went to his stack to turn the volume up, and came back to me for about another solid minute!🥰
I'm glad you checked out Jordan live. That part from 5:20 to 5:34 in your video is where he is hybrid picking using a pick and his fingers at the same time. He's so good. Love Buckethead.
I saw him live 15 years ago in college. The dude is so good.
He’s not using the volume knob, he’s using an Arcade style button as a Killswitch to cut the volume and release quickly.
That’s also a Custom Oversized Les Paul Gibson made for him. If you didn’t know, he’s 6’6” and has massive hands. This guitar makes it more comfortable to play for him and easier to accurately hit all those higher notes.
Buckethead is truly one of the best. He doesn’t need vocals his technique sings his soul!

Idk if anybody has commented this, but the choppy sound he's making is his killswitch on the guitar. It cuts all sound when you hold the button.

I love Buckethead, but if you are gonna listen to him you have to start with the studio recordings. The live stuff is great, but you gotta know what you are hearing to really appreciate the live stuff. The studio recordings are literal masterpiece works of art from a brilliant artist.
you figured out that's a kill switch right? that's the Buckethead signature les paul that's 20% bigger and has extra frets..and 2 kill switches.
You should`ve picked Jordan live at the culture room, much much better quality...
It's a stutter switch. It cuts the signal on and off while he's playing. That's his own Buckethead Commemorative Model Les Paul made for him by Gibson.

Buckethead is using a killswitch on that guitar, it's not anything with the volume knobs or pickup selector! He's super crazy with that killswitch lol.
Check out the Buckethead song called The Embalmer. He uses the killswitch on that as well.

Buckethead once played for Guns N Roses after Slash and other original left the band. He played on GNR's Chinese Democracy album. It was stated that Buckethead (Brian) had erratic time with GNR. So, he left the band. I heard and read that Axl Rose wanted Buckethead not to wear his famous mask and the bucket, just be Brian Carroll. But Brian felt that he is buckethead since he was in his teens. Brian lost his mom when he was young.
