Listeners may find it of interest that Wilhelm Zehle, composer of Viscount Nelson, Wellington, Army and Marine and other prize winning marches at the turn of the last century was a bandsman (cornet) in the 3rd battalion of German Naval Infantry, garrisoned in Tsing Tao, China.
