Having another mama like myself pursuing her education while being a parent was so inspiring for me. I love your educational segments! I learn something knew every time! 😊 (I’m not a med student but a psych student lol) I watch your content because you showcase what it’s like to dedicate your time to a field and all the emotions that come along, and not being afraid to discuss it. Showing us what it means to be human. So just remember to take time every now and then to do things that center you, bring you calmness (yoga, a trip to the beach, in n out, Netflix etc) ✨

Love that you're doing better for yourself. As a fellow 4th year medical student, it has been amazing watching your progress and seeing that you are along this journey that is similar to mine. Ironically I'm also struggling with my personal statement, I've looked at it so much that I hate it now lol. Totally agree on there being no benefit to applying early, take your time.

Interesting what you said about urogynaecology, I loved you showing bits of your notes and slides; it doesn’t have to be the ultimate solution or pro tip, just seeing someone’s current approach is thought provoking… the way you talked about the OR situation, the string tip, your presentation skills, the little anatomy lesson 👏 seemed a little more „you“ which might have taken a bit of courage to show, so thanks!

I noticed you never mentioned lubing up.
With the speculum placement? Yeah you should do that unless you’re doing like FFN or some other test.
There’s a lot of things I didn’t mention, like I talk to the patient before speculum placement and such to make them comfortable etc.
