I'm a new generation fan and I've done 5 seasons in 3 days. That's how fascinated I'm with Michael's acting. I mean, the looks, the expressions, the everything man. Sometimes I've to rewind and watch his expressions again and again because I can't get over how awesomely he does them

Very much appreciate that he was tactful about the finale. No one sets out to make something bad, and many, many people worked hard on that last episode: wardrobe, production team, writers, actors, etc. He's not just going to say that it sucked because it undermines everyone's hard work.
I have all 8 seasons in a box set I CAN'T TO ADD TO THAT!!! I honestly can't wait to see what you guys have in store for this new season as well I love the direction you guys took it ( yeah it was different from the books) but in a fantastic way y'all REALLY brought this to life!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!
I don't feel as let down by the last season as most of the other people seemed to be. I enjoyed it, even if it was different to the previous seasons. I liked the finale and the shock that came with it, although I feel they could have done a few things slightly differently I think it was good. I'm really excited to see where they take this new season. I feel like they've gone with a fresh angle on this which kinda adds to the overall theme, but really we're on the journey with him.
Exactly!! I don't get what people were bitching about with season 8! The last episode of season 8 was terrible which I agree with but the rest of the season?? There was nothing wrong with it. I enjoyed the entire show besides the final episode.
Same, at the time I watched it in a bubble without any other opinions and I really enjoyed the season and I felt there was some good poetry to it, I would also change some things but I still feel it was well done just very sad and after rewatching it last year after some time passed I think it's even better with that distance. I can't wait for the new season!
Honestly I'm ok with that I mean....he was born in blood and who knows how much of his brain recorded what Trinity did to his mom. They can make it creative and compelling. Let's all remember Original showrunner is back and the last showrunner Scott Buck is nowhere near this season lol
@@nebulous8389 Harrison never showed any sign of bad behaviour, like Dexter did in his childhood, he is a normal kid and probably does not remember anything about her mother death. But if the writers decided to go in this path, I really hope the plot be way more than just "kid with killing urges"

I really hope they continue on past this season, there is SO much they could do with Dexter. I watched this growing up and it was among the best out there.
My biggest problem was probably how rushed everything felt like Debra's death. Story wise it felt way too rushed. I loved the show, the ending just pissed me off
And the fact that he was willing to give everything up for Hannah and Harrison but then abandons both of them to live in exile really did my head in. I only finished season 8 yesterday so It’s very fresh in my head.
You can tell by his body language (holding his arm across his chest) that he is being defensive and most likely lying when talking about being okay with the way it ended. He most likely wanted a more solid and concrete ending, maybe one where you get Dexter's inner monologue justifying, even if it is by Dexter's flawed reasoning, as to why he did what he did.
After a decade of living an isolated life, away from the one I care most about and trying to put my life back together... or at least what I'm pretending it to be... Finally. The new season is coming!
Finding out he is from Raleigh, NC my hometown and that he still has family here is so awesome. Wish I could run into him sometime here but highly doubtful as I’m sure he wants to keep a low profile when he comes back home. And rightfully so.
If this does work out and it's as enjoyable as it looks, then maybe this won't need to be the last? Maybe they already have a season 10 in mind so that the story still won't be wrapped up in just one season? I hope so ❤️
I was wondering if this season was supposed to be a one and done situation or the start of many seasons if things go well. Honestly I hope its just one season. Id rather have one good season to end the series proper.
@@alexprieto8277 The pre-story in itself (former Killer hides in a new life) is the start to many series or films. So in that sense you could easily make 3 or 4 good seasons that have little to do with the first 8 and give them a good end without stretching it out too much

I just rewatched the original 8 seasons of this in prep of New bloods release, and the ending was NOT as bad as I remember it being. By the end of the binge, I was really glad that Dexter "escaped" and managed to start new, he saved and freed Hannah and Harrison from the death that surrounds him, particularly since everyone he gets close to or looks up to dies - culminating in Debs death, I know what the fans wanted after that original series, but I really hope they are NOT using this limited season to Kill Dexter!
One of my all time favorite shows. Michael C. Hall doesn't seem to age. Spartacus lead actor Andy Whitfield didn't make it through his battle with cancer, "rest in peace". I'm glad Hall made it through his battle with cancer.
So glad and relieved to hear they'll be doing different camera work and aspect ratio of filming. Loved the first go-around but damn if the first 2-3 seasons are jarring to watching because of that. Can't wait for this to roll out!
I am looking forward to this and believe me I am watching very little TV at the current time as TV seems to have forgotten about great characters and great actors and for me current TV just can’t compete with the quality of The Sopranos, Dexter, The Wire, Breaking Bad etc.

I've never been so excited to see a series continue. Never thought this would happen. I literally freaked out when the trailer was released. This was the first show my wife and I binged when we first met.
When deb died it broke me, especially when he takes her off the ventilator and all of a sudden her heart starts to beat on her own it gives you this false sense of security that she's gonna beat it she's back only for them to rip it all away from you 4 beats later when she flatlines. No bueno

I used to have get togethers with friends to have cocktails and watch Dexter every week! Very, very happy Dex is coming back, because I didn't care for the way they ended the show. At all! It didn't feel resolved and left me in limbo about what ever happened to the guy! Why was he left up in logging country, where I used to live?
Considering I am on the second time watching the series, I’ve grown so used to the character dexter that it’s weird seeing the personality of Michael for the very first time.
