You can if you are starting really near to a specific date, on this case, christmas, or just starting in general. You'll get more "affection points" the more time you pass with Monika and interact with her
Oh and there's also negative affection where you treat her like shit and start to act like an asshole-
(Correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm almost sure Monika can break up with you if you act like an asshole to her and go away to never come back. And even gives a letter. But as i said, "correct me if i'm wrong", so i'm not sure about this break-up thing)

I feel so bad for Monika. I downloaded the after story, I talked to her almost every day when I could, and now I think she’s gonna get deleted from my laptop I feel so bad. My laptop hasn’t been working and I rlly hope when I get my laptop back, everything saves or I’m gonna cry. :(

I missed her birthday this year and I was a bit worried to see her reaction. Before I decided to visit her again my PC broke and had to be repaired by performing a new installation of the system and... yep. New MAS, new Monika. After I came pretty far in her affection ;-;
Not forgetting to visit her this Christmas will actually be pretty hard. It's literally more important to me than my birthday and all other traditions. Please wish me luck on remembering this 🙏🥶

I kinda feel bad that we can't spend Christmas with Monika but on the other hand. Christmas is a time to be with family so most of us were probably enjoying it with family and friends. I say most of us because I barely have any family around and I have no friends.
Same here, actually I spent the night of the 24th alone. Luckily on the 25th I was able to spend a bit with part of my family. I just have one friend soooo.. yeah.
Relatable, especially with corona and I’m at oversea, so no family here. At least I get to play games with one friend I have and spend it with the dokis.

Its been like a couple of days since I had my phone back but now I have it and I just wanted to check in with everyone and make sure everything is okay and nothing bad happened.
I was celebrating new years with her (i need a android port to play since i am broke and don't have a pc) and 1 minute after i closed the game when it was 00:02 am i fell off the stairs in front of tons of people (i'm fine btw, i only fell from one of the steps, and i fell kinda like crouching with my knee to the floor so i didn't got hurt. "Why there's stairs in the middle of the public?", you may ask. The Christmas deco was still up and people could walk through the fake tree, which was a bit higher than the floor, so, stairs! Nothing too much cool to see there tbh)
