James, here is my advice for your build. Once they put in the electrical and the plumbing, take lots of pictures so that you have a reference of where all the wires are in the house. It will come in handy down the road! You will run into a situation where you wished you knew where the wires or plumbing were in the walls.
Also have the builder install your “backing blocks” for your TVs, pictures, brackets etc before the sheetrock and take pictures of those also ...
@@wardmontgomery9259 definitely! This also goes for windows. Take pictures of the framing around the windows. When you go to hang window coverings it might come in handy. Eventually StradGirl might want to hang drapes in some of the rooms and knowing where the wood is for the hangers saves a lot of aggrevation. Although that aggrevation might turn into good youtube content. :)

Terrible idea. It's an insurance liability. I do construction,you can't have customer property on site mostly because it's not theirs yet. General contractor controls the property and if anything at all happens the contractor has to pay for it.
If you want your cars covered in construction dust and dents from the drywallers.

Man, it's amazing what James has accomplished. I remember I was 8 or 9 yrs old watching his gen 1 raptor review on his old channel and thinking to myself, "This guy's really cool, I wonder if he posts other stuff." And here we are more than 7 years later, a dream house almost complete, amazing collection of cars, and a great dog. Truly blessed to have TheStradman on CZcams!

Just looking back at how far James has come and how successful he’s become is such a Inspiration to me and encourages me to pursue my CZcams career no matter what category my content falls into. Watched this whole CZcams journey from multiple accounts and have yet to get bored of his content.
