    Includes:
Last 30 seconds of ending credits for "Skokie" (with promo voiceover for the upcoming show by Dave Campbell)
Danny Kaye, in "Read More About It" segment, recommends two books dealing with freedom of expression ("Defending My Enemy" by Aryeh Neier and "The First Amendment in a Free Society" by Jonathan Bartlett) as recommended by the Library of Congress
Notice of premiere of Simon & Simon for next week (voiceover by Dave Campbell), followed by promo for same and for "A Small Killing"
CBS 'Eye-D' (voiceover by Dave Campbell)
Bill Kurtis previews upcoming edition of THE 10 O'Clock News
Commercial: Aldi Foods (with the "Aldi Angel" character)
03:03 - Station ID (with Bill Kurtis again!) and finally the beginning of the show
Opening, with film clip of Jean from 1956, followed by Mike previewing this edition, and show opening titles
    Commercials for:
1982 Chrysler Le Baron Series (with Ricardo Montalban)
    Saran Wrap (for microwave)
Segment 2 begins at Jean's death, then Mike shows clips of his 1958 interview with her, interviews her parents, her breakthrough role as "Saint Joan," interview with director Otto Preminger, a 1957 clip from The Ed Sullivan Show, interview with first husband François Moreuil, her appearance in "Breathless," look at second marriage to Romain Gary and her films up to "Paint Your Wagon," her support of civil rights groups, interviews with ex-Black Panthers Elaine Brown, Bobby Seale and David Hilliard, FBI investigations into her activities, interview with Robert Logan, her long decline and third marriage to Dennis Berry, interview with onetime mother-in-law Gladys Berry, recollections from one of her last lovers, aspiring filmmaker Jean-Claude Messager, and how her 1974 film "Les Hautes Solitudes" foreshadowed her own suicide.

This effort would also seem to have foreshadowed A&E's late 1980's revival of the ''Biography'' franchise.
