WB in 1999: Makes the most interesting DVD menu
WB in 2022: Makes the most boring DVD menu
Lol
The Barbie DVD was so boring bro, so, this is literally accurate.
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut is Release by Warner Bros. Worldwide and Paramount Pictures in the U.S.
In North America in the Paramount Pictures Corporation logo put "A Paramount Picture"
now we gotta wait for Paramount to distribute something in the UK and WB distribute it in the US
Also comedy Central was owned by WB and Paramount in 1999 which is why they both distribute this
This DVD was released in North America by Paramount Pictures
This movie is so freaking great
But I prefer US version
Mark-Anthony the Limit breaker yeah it is a great movie, and show. And I understand bc that is a good transition from the Paramount mountain to the mountain from the movie
tvandmovieopenings yeah
@@tvandmoviearchive very accurate
I agree a whole lot

FACT: The film is actually owned by Warner Bros. Pictures and Paramount Pictures.
I wish that the british version of it was also released by paramount
a): it's a better transition from the mountain in the ident to the one in the film
b): on my dvd shelf, it looks strange having the show producer by paramount and the film by warner
The UK DVDs of the early seasons were released by Warner Home Video
Me too
I love this film. One of my favourite musicals
1 Lionsgate logo
2 hit entertainment
3 waring screen
4 oliver and company promo
5 thomas and friends the great discovery
6 tinkerbell and the lost treasure

Nice menu! Wish that was on the American DVD!
THE US version is NOT the Warner Bros logo. the paramount logo is on the US print
@@ScottTheAnimatorEST he's talking about the dvd menu not the logo combo

I remember seeing this copy at my local Goodwill store two years ago before the pandemic. Although I'm not a South Park fan, I do understand how people think WB's International print should have began the film.
The paramount logo would be played, then it would've transition into the mountian via cross-fade
The US/Canada version is distributed by paramount pictures and the UK version is distributed by Warner bros pictures as in intronational
On paramount + canada they put the warnerbros instead of paramount pictures is warner bros try to regain the right of the movie on canada?
@@christhophercruzflores Warner Bros never had the rights to the film in Canada

Wow... the WB logo kinda ruins the variant of the Paramount logo for the North American release...
Tommy Deonauth's Archives
Exactly.
It would've been easier if they just put WB first, Paramount second, and then open up to the mountain starting this film.
@@trentonhamilton645 But what about the other way around?
@@aualga it would automatically defeat the sole purpose of having a proper theatrical introduction, unless if it has the variant shield open up a gateway to South Park, which makes it epic and a lot more sense.
Trenton Hamilton or how about a cloud in the sky shaped like the WB shield?
Do you know the film Hugo? directed by Martin Scorcese. the film was distributed by Paramount in most countries as it's main distributor but in UK and Ireland the film is distributed by Entertainment Film Distributors
"Screw the warning, I'll play this dvd in the clubs whenever I wahnt!" - Cartman, probably
Don Bluth's the Pebble and the Penguin is also distributed by Warner Bros in the UK and other countries too
Anyone who saw this the first time in 2019???
I think it’s more likely if people have this version, they’ll be playing Side B (16:9) instead of Side A (4:3)
How does the UK DVD have a better main menu than the US one?!
The paramount one was better cause of that transition with the mountain
I agree
It Appears Romanian Copyrights Warning And I Am Romanian.
I have a USA DVD of:
South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut
and TMNT Complete Series
Those Damn Warner Bros.
remember what Elmer did to Bugs on Family Guy? imagine if Elmer was us we would kill Bugs as a punishment for Warner Bros ruining this film outside America
Sadly, by replacing the paramount logo by warner bros, the opening isn't as great, as in the transition between the paramount mountain and the south park mountain
I see what you are talking about but at least they didn't fade from the WB Logo to the mountain like Paramount print did. It could be worse, they could have been lazy like Columbia TriStar Film Distributors International was with Street Fighter
@@tvandmoviearchive the 1994 Street Fighter movie?
If the fade between the opening logo and the mountain was well edited, it will fade into a cloud in a shape of the warner bros logo above the mountain.
@@davidcortina9898 That’s right!
Hey! Where's The Paramount Logo?!?
Warner Bros has international rights to this movie so the Paramount logo was deleted.
@@michaelbolcato192 Which is annoying If the 25th anniversary re-release gets a UK release I hope Paramount distributes it instead of Warner Bros. because I think this film fits better in the Paramount library than it does with Warner Bros. and their shield logo ruined the variant of the Paramount logo
Black Star
How did you get this movie on widescreen as well as fullscreen because I have a UK DVD copy of this movie and it only contains side A which is fullscreen?
Then you must have a Fullscreen Only DVD of this movie, but I didn't know such a thing existed. I thought the point of the Double Sided DVD (which is what I had) was that you can watch either Widescreen or Fullscreen version. I tried looking and couldn't find even a picture of a UK Fullscreen Only DVD of this movie
@@tvandmoviearchiveIt was better in 1 disc with the option to choose which version to watch

I hate the fact that Warner Bros distributed this film outside the US instead of Paramount. I heard that there is a 4K release of this coming out on June 25 if it gets a UK release I hope Paramount distributes it instead of Warner Bros. when I first watched this I didn't feel right watching it because of the Warner logo it is the first film to use the enhanced version of the 1986 Paramount logo aswell as it being a match cut to the beginning of the film but that gets ruined by Warner Bros. and they weren't involved in Team America or later DVD releases of the Series itself in America they have the same owner as Beavis and Butthead and Jackass but not outside America Geffen Pictures did Beavis and Butthead Do America but they didn't distribute it when Warner Bros. distributed all the other films by that company if they didn't need to be involved with that then they should've not been involved with this film (P.S. I also hate Entertainment Film Distributors doing Hugo in the UK instead of Paramount)
If I remember correctly, I believe that Paramount now has Worldwide Rights over this movie. I this might have happened around 2014 when they were working out a distribution deal for Interstellar. I might be wrong about that though.
@@tvandmoviearchive On Paramount+ in Canada and on Amazon Prime UK the version with the Warner Bros logo is used and the film itself isn't on Paramount+ in the UK so I don't know they lost rights but I hope they one day get rid of the Warner Bros versions Universal lost UK rights to True Lies in 2010 when a DVD release of the film was released by it's domestic distributor 20th Century Fox which I prefer for similar reason to prefer the Paramount logo over the Warner Bros logo. 20th Century Fox lost International rights to Crocodile Dundee when it's domestic distributor also Paramount released it on DVD in the early 2000s if they thought about that film why not this?
@@tvandmoviearchive I also hope they lose rights to Friday the 13th since all the sequels to that film where distributed by Paramount with no involvement of Warner Bros I dislike that film being distributed by Warner Bros aswell
@@tvandmoviearchive Did you get any Paramount prints of Novecento yet?
@@tvandmoviearchive what is weird is that even though Paramount distributed this film in Canada aswell Paramount+ there uses the Warner Bros. version
Warner Bros. should've appeared first before the Paramount.
If South Park was half Warner Bros, does that mean...
was South Park part Looney Tunes and DC???

@@britishknight1788 someone just commented that it might be from The Termination so maybe look into that
Did you find it?
Why did WB replace Paramount in the UK?
Because Comedy Central was originally a joint between Warner and Viacom (Paramount's parent company at the time) so it gives Warner alternative rights to South Park while Paramount owns the IP, which is also why the show is on HBO Max until 2025
