Different guitars have different tones and the artist chooses which one plays the feeling of the song the best. 🤙😎
Musicians change guitars during shows for several reasons:
1. Guitar out of tune.
2. Different guitar tuned differently (like down a half step, or having all 6 on the same chord)
3. Technical issue
4. Different guitars have different tones. Chris has been playing long enough that he probably has a few different guitars that he like for certain songs.

I didn't read all the comments but just FYI the harmonica player is explained in Tennessee whiskey same concert at farm aid but he play with Willie Nelson for 47 years. And Willie started Farm Aid to help farmers keep their land.

Country Artists are the last of true talent!no auto-tune needed!
Some guitars may have a certain tone the artist wants. Also, a guitar might be tuned differently. You might have one tuned traditionally, another ready to go with an open A tuning, etc. In this case, he switched out a guitar that had a capo on the 3rd fret to one with a capo on the 2nd fret. It had a bit of a different tone from the one he used on the previous song, too (Them Stems). I think you'd dig him singing "I Was Wrong." The Austin City live version is a good one.
