Its 2019 and we be contouring our pimples 🙌
Ali The future is here!! Hallelujah. (Honestly I would shamelessly contour anything if it means it zaps my acne)
😂😂😂
Bwhahahah
lisa’s living in 3019
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You are delightful, and a magician. You're right, after you did your eyes, the blemish was not even noticeable. Many blessings, Lisa..MaryEllen
How you described your spot is pretty much the only kind I ever get. They don't happen often, but when they do, I feel practically disfigured. Especially when you can FEEL them pulsating under there, like something's about to hatch out of your face.
Yeah I feel the same. But I'm having them like, in every month 😞
I feel the same way! This is such good timing. I hate when I get them too because they’re so noticeable, especially when the rest of my face looks nice 😂
Like Alien “In concealer, no one can hear you scream 😱 “
By all means check your blood sugar. I used to get them A LOT before I realized I had beginnings of insulin resistance :/
THIS is why we subscribe to you. Real, practical makeup advice that help us be confident in our day to day lives. Never change Lisa!!
My hormonal acne is my monthly nightmare - it is bumpy, super red and painful. Instantly put this video into my YT favorites as it is super helpful!I adopted your skincare/makeup philosophy when you uploaded the best video ever on how to cover acne and blemishes about 7 or 8 years ago. It litterally changed my life for the best. I never looked back since then. I do not have many idols but you certainly are a role model for me - classy, intelligent, with really great taste and a wonderful, down to earth personality. Love you! x Davie
Can you link please the video? :)
thank you lisa can you also do one on the large crusty scabby ones too? especially for oily skin gals. even when i set a concealer with powder my oils always break down any make up and melt it right off.
That might be my next video ... as after eventually squeezing this one Im in for a crusty cornflake surface next ; ) X
You just described my cheek and jaw area situation right now. I'm really glad Lisa is considering doing a video on this. 😍
Yes please do this video Lisa!!Would love it!Really enjoyed this video ❤
plzzz do one on crusty ones.
Yes, or also/maybe one when the skin is refusing to heal over and concealer just won't stick to the skin
Bless this video! I have a very important event and a couple of ulgly friends thanks to that-time-of-the-month. Ugh. Murphy's Law at it's finest. lol
I've got the exact same situation. End of the month and one giant friend appeared on my chin...two days before the first day of my internship 😥
I'm so glad it's not just me that gets these MASSIVE spots
If it’s on a day that you can see your dermatologist, they can actually inject it to make it shrink and be almost gone within 24 hours. I’ve never had it done myself, but I’ve heard people talk about it.
Exactly! I'm meeting clients tomorrow during a business trip and I got huge red blemish under the skin nowb
Perfect timing as I woke up with a blemish and have an important event tonight. THANK YOU!!!
Kaylynn Thomas me too🤨
goodluck with the lighting.😊
I agree with the being confident and engaging thing. It works like a gem! Do not let the blemish control you. There is more to you than that temporary flaw :D
Such brilliant tips as always Lisa! I only wear barely there coverage and often get asked how I conceal spots - I always send people in the direction of your excellent pinpoint concealing video, and will definitely be directing them to this new one too 👏 x
You are a wizard Lisa! Such elegance and talent. Thank you so much for this ❤️
I love how openly you talk about it. For a person with a severe acne, who do not get cutesy little red pimples, but those under-skin, swollen volcanos, it is a bless to see a beauty goddess talking openly about the problem. It makes me feel better somehow ;) Thank you!
OMG Lisa, that's why I love you so much. "Just be fabuolus" and "own it" - you are so down to earth, such a beautiful and REAL woman, giving REAL advices and confidence boost for REAL, 3D women. That's true artistry, and that what is life about; not instagram. Please stick around as long as you can, CZcams needs your realness. We need you!
This s a technique also used in photo retouching, changing light and shadows to reduce imperfection or big unwanted bumps on a surface. You are the best :)
If you happen to have a favorite tutorial video that does this (in Lightroom or Photoshop), could you please share the link here? I'm just learning about photo editing.
For one pimple, I would have drawn a mole, even a big one, more easy! You’re an artist, we couldn’t reach such ability! You’re Lisa ❤️
I get so many compliments on velvet ribbon. I got rid of most of my other reds, I don’t need any others!
Hi Lisa! ♥️ Years ago I watched a video from Goss makeup artist and I remember he used a similar technique but for under eye bags.
Seeing as bags are also lifted where they swell and need ‘flattening’ he used a less bright concealer and a lighter concealer on the under eye bone to cover the shadow there.
Well ever since I have used this tip for blemishes as well so I feel so familiar with this technique and am happy you shared it with us today verifying that it works!!
Now that you mention it, of COURSE it would work for undereye bags, too. THANKS!!! :)
I wonder if you could link to that video, it sounds so interesting! :)
Lovely video as always, Lisa! I just want to add my 2 cents: Whenever you've finished your makeup, take the remainder of what's left on the blush brush and tap it ever so slightly over the concealed and contoured blemish. This pushes it back with the rest of the skin (especially if you've used a lighter coverage everywhere else) because it blends into the 'patina' of the other skin that's showing through. Pink light is also some of the most softening, so the blush will mimic that soft, flattering effect. It sounds silly, but I'd also recommend putting a touch more coverage on the OTHER side of your face where the blemish would be if it were mirrored, just to add visual symmetry. It really helps that targeted coverage look less intentional and more seamless.
Subtle but oh so powerful, now that i think of it! Thank you :-*
Congratulations in advance for 2 million subscribers 🤗
Thank you, you are very sweet. Im not quite there yet .... but getting there X
Lisa Eldridge 🙏🙏🙏🤗
You are stunning Lisa! I was depressed and have stopped wearing make up and stopped dressing up but you motivate me to take care of myself again 👑
Yay! This video comes right on time: my skin hates me at the moment, so many large blemishes. Can't wait to watch! Thank you!
Such a thoughtful and useful video to share with people. I love how you are willing to put yourself out there for our benefit. Your kindness always shines through in your videos. xx
Hey Lisa! What a wonderful presentation for a difficult problem that no matter what age, we all suffer from time to time. Your eye makeup is wonderful and the lipcolor is great. I love this and you are the pro! Thanks!
Wow! Thank you so much for this video and keeping it real. This is the most informative video about covering a blemish that I’ve seen, I specially liked that you not only focused on makeup but on confidence and lighting.
This is the best makeup tip EVER. I knew you are FULL of knowledge my Lisa!! You never stop to amaze me, love you ♥
I absolutely ADORE you so much!!! I've been reading your blog and watching your vids for YEARS. I actually got into makeup because of you, and I remember when i first started, you helped me so much! I have been able to do ALL kinds of walks of life's makeup when it comes to different skin colors, skin problems, aging skin to even covering blemishes. You have taught me so much, thank you!!! Much love, from Arizona ❤❤❤
Yes, this will be so helpful! I always have some hormonal acne around that time of the month, they are large, bumpy, painful, impossible to cover and last for at least a week and I never knew what should I do with them, but I'll try these tips out. Thank you Lisa! xx
Get a creme with benzoyl peroxide from the pharmacy and dab it just on the spot, as soon as you feel it coming on. It really helps with those suckers. But no more than twice a day, or it’ll likely start peeling.
Thank you, I will try that too! :)
You should try special patches for pimples, cosrx for example or use a spot treatment with salicylic acid.
I’m struggling with a random surge of acne at 28 years, and bless you for this video Lisa. I love you for sharing your blemishes with us as much as your techniques.
Lisa is the best!!,I've used so many of her tips throughout my life and people always compliment me on the days i do!
I so admire you, Lisa, for making such an candid video; honesty being something your videos always have in abundance. I have cancelled dates, phoned in sick at work and generally hidden when I have had really huge acne spots in the past. I wish I'd been able to follow your advice on those occasions. It's incredibly helpful to everyone to watch this and to refer to it whenever needed. Finally, you are right, of course- it is just a spot, we all have blemishes, they are not permanent and they do not detract in anyway from the fully accomplished human beings we are. Huge thanks to you x
So true about staying confident and engaging to your audience, you did just that in this video and I kept looking at your beautiful eyes and not anywhere else. Amazing tactic!
I love you Lisa!!! You do such an incredible job of always highlighting the fact that it’s the attitude and what’s inside that matters most! You have completely changed the way that I think about blemishes...thank you! ❤️
Lisa, you are amazing! Thank you for showing us your tips, but also for your wonderful encouragement! I always feel more confident and more capable after watching your videos!
Lisa, you've been my saviour for all the years you've been on CZcams: when Mount Cystic Acne arises, it's so discouraging but with your AMAZING tips - thank you! xx
Every time I think Lisa's shown us every thing we need to know, she surprises us with such impressive wizardry. Lisa, I love you so much and you are the reason why I decided to go to makeup school 2 years ago. You're such an inspiration, always classy and elegant, thank you for existing on this Earth!
Edit: Love the placement of the blush! Made you look really fresh and youthful!
Thank you Lisa, you are amazing, always so willing to help, to share, to give ! Your videos have changed my life... You have no idea how much you're offering out there . Thank you !
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It will be so helpful! I always love how efficient and genuine you are in your videos, and that you are not afraid to talk about skin problems and are not afraid to show your own skin. ❤
What amazing advice Lisa - both makeup and life advice! I love it that you made this video more of a holistic approach in dealing with acne.
Your content on CZcams is absolutely fantastic. Full of helpful tips and good sense as well as some lovely words for those of us who are conscious of our features.
Thank you for sharing Lisa! Just wondering when you will be coming out with your concealer video that you had people email photos for.
Yes, as soon as I move into my new studio. Been slowly packing up my old one and its just too messy to invite any guests at them moment X
Lisa you are the best makeup artist ever! I’ve been watching you for years and you inspire me all the time!!
So happy to see you Lisa! Your videos have become a treat. Love to you 😘
My eyes always wander around a woman's face. The way others apply their makeup fascinates me. I watch CZcams tutorials mostly so I can just have that therapeutic feeling... 😎😘💜💜💜 xXx
You are an angel. Thank you for sharing your expertise with the rest of us. This is such a blessing. Love you💖
I love how makeup can just transform anything or anyone! The possibilities are endless ✨ you look particularly beautiful in this! I love the look💖
Wow, your blush placement was beautiful! Great video!
what a hardcore useful skill !!! So professional, yet it is simple and direct to learn! thanks Lisa, we need more these kind of videos!!
YEAH!!!! This is totally my best video ever! I love how you do makeup for acne, scaring and blemishes. You are amaizing, my best "beauty guru" ever
Such a wonderful idea to share "the imperfections" that become beauty😍💞... Thank you so much Lisa
Much admiration and appreciation to Lisa Eldridge for keeping it real...red swollen blemishes, chipped fingernail polish, and all! You remind us that imperfections are beautiful.
THANK YOU!!! I had noticed the negative effect of my normal concealer before, but didn't know how to fix it. So thank you very very much, Lisa!
You’re the master Lisa! One of the most helpful CZcams videos EVER!!! Thanks so much!
So refreshing to listen to someone of your social dimension to talk about such trivial everyday things. And also making clear that makeup is only a part of it. It is a tool to enhance your already born with virtues. Love you!
Who else could turn a really bad pimple into an excuse for being more CONFIDENT, ENGAGING and FIERCE? Thanks for the tips Miss Eldridge ✌️💋
Perfect. As always. Such a genuine, creative approach to makeup!!!!! And sooo love your rings ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been subscribed to you and watched your videos for years. I’ve gained so many tips and tricks about makeup. This video is one of the most helpful videos I have ever seen. Unfortunately this video is so relatable. Also unfortunately life doesn’t stop when you have a terrible blemish or blemishes. I’ve had so many instances when I have to show my face when I don’t want to and this video is AMAZING!! and the part about the attitude is so important! Thank you so much for his video.
This is GENIUS. I need those little brushes!
Oh the blush is SO pretty!!
I know not the focus of this video and the blemish camouflage is of course amazing but love the blush.
So real, warm as usual!
The best beauty trick is always confidence! Thank you, Queen Eldridge, as always, for your advice. 🖤
This video is Magnificent! Perfect tips and ideas! Now i understand the power of lighting!
Our Queen is saving lives right now ❤
yup. specially since there a lot of people suffering with acne and have such a low self esteem.
Your makeup techniques are out of this world!!
You're an angel, Lisa! This video was so helpful to me as an adult struggling with cystic acne. I've always had trouble with the shadows that swollen blemishes cast that make them so obvious. You're indeed one of the few beauty CZcamsrs I can really trust.
My face was awful recently until I scrapped the mac makeup and started to use cerave foaming wash morning and night. Try it. It works! A nice warm muslin cloth too with it to 'gently' exfoliate Try to cut down on carbs too but plenty of fruit and veg. Have a go, my adult acne took four weeks to go and that's without anything harsh or medication either.
Agree, MAC is awful, so many nasty ingredients. Antibiotics to fight them from the inside, Vit C and salicylic acid products on the outside, rub a lemon on it every few days. Pixie overnight glow serum. Innisfree volcanic mud mask. Lemon sparkling peeling gel. Pint of water before bed. Loads fresh salad and veggies. No dairy. Nip+Fab pads are good too.
You are absolutely delightful Lisa. Your demeanor is like the girl next door, that everybody would like to have as a friend. Even at your level and status, you continue to remain down to earth. This is almost unheard here on CZcams, I just love you!!! Thank you for all your videos. 😘
Wow, Lisa! 😍 You are really amazing as a makeup artist as you are as a person! So talented and kind hearted ❤️❤️❤️ THANK YOU SO MUCH! ❤️😘
Love the empowering confidence tips Lisa you’re the best ❤❤
I love the blush placement! It diverted my attention right away.
Thank you Lisa for showing this tutorial!! . I especially like the trick using the lighter concealer to hide the shadow of the blemish. Genius!!
One of the best makeup tutorials I’ve ever seen. So important, so relevant. Top tips for the best! Thank you 🙏
Not only great makeup tips fors spots, but great tips for keeping confidence with spots!!! Thanks Lisa!!
I watch so many beauty gurus here on CZcams but Lisa, you're the first one I ever started watching and you're still my favourite! :)
I love where you apply your blush!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen any other youtuber apply their blush where you put yours. So pretty!
love this video! very real! not only is it unsightly but very painful too. hope it gets healed asap
The video I absolutely needed! I’m blessed that I normally don’t get acne now that I’m in my 30s, but the occasional hormonal mountain does pop up! This has shown exactly what I’ve been doing wrong when covering up and how to change my makeup look to take away focus from the spot I’m camouflaging. Thank you so much, Lisa!
Oh Lisa, I love you more with this tutorial!!!! Thank you very much for teaching us this technique. It's absolutely useful for me who has problem with acne. Lots a love. Xx
Awesome tips, all of them, I especially love that you mentioned confidence
Great tips! For me, the blush position and the eyes is what really drew my attention upwards! Love this tip, thank you!
you are so genuine and kind . I love you so much Lisa ! 😘😍
Omg I love the positive, affirming talk she gave at the end. I think it’s often neglected; so refreshing to hear!
Love her, one of the first youtubers I ever subscribed too and she’s kept it real from day one!!❤️
I love that you always use Becca Pearl liquid highlighter. Everytime I think I need a new highlighter I'm reminded to use the one I already own and love! That highlighter looks great on me too ☺️
This was so perfectly timed to deal with the horror on my cheek right now. Thank you so much!
This is amazing. I love that Lisa still made a video specifically for this problem. I have seen all her videos and she does mention tricks on bumps. But she is so generous of her time to give us this.
Not hating just curious but I believe Lisa has all the money in the world to go see a dermatologist and have that pimple injected with something to minimise the size. I wonder why she doesn't. Regardless, LOVE HER!
Thank you!!! Discoloration is simple enough to cover with the right products, but texture is like the final frontier of concealing.
The first video for pimple coverage that ACTUALLY helps me. This is so great thank you!!!
You are so authentic! Creating confidence instead of a mask of makeup. You're a true artist ✨
Thanks, Lisa. You always know what content we actually DO need to see. I hate this kind of pimples, especially if I cannot get rid of them (that is so annoying)! And usually those are so painful!
Thank you so much! you´re my favorite MUA! and can i say my uplifting netfriend! Hugs from the heart!!
Not only did you conceal it perfectly, but with that makeup I literally could not stop staring into your beautiful eyes for real! xx
I just loved that confidence part of this tutorial.
Very sweet and generous as always!!! This video made me smile!!
This is so helpful!!!! Thank you Lisa. Also I had the Zoeva #10 brush in my collection for YEARS with no idea what to do with it and then I saw you use it for foundation and it was a game changer. Thank you! ❤️
You are so clever Lisa. What I love is your whole approach, the way you make women focus on their assets, confidence etc, make up is just a tool, not a disguise 💜
Amazing tips!! I don't know if it's just my head messing with me but I really started to focus a whole lot more on your eyes after you did your eye makeup and blusher! When you looked straight ahead the spot was invisible, I'm very inspired
You are amazing! That message at the end was the best thing ever 💜
Amazing. Also the blush placement is really lovely!
Wow, Lisa, I loved this video! Thanks so much for sharing that you too have blemishes to conceal on occasion. There’s nothing worse than getting a nasty spot just prior to an event. Now I’ll know how to better deal with it. Sending hugs 🤗.
This video came into my life like an angel... Im in my 40’s and Im getting that king of never coming out giant pimples! THANK YOOUUU and by the way, can u make a video on that lovely eye make up... looks adorable! Thankkk you for being an angel
True beauty queen :) couple of minutes packed with so much information - thank you Lisa :)
Totally need this right now!! I have two ginormous bumps on my chin sitting next to each other ugh!! Thanks so much Lisa!❤️
