Please Sir, I need your clarification on question 2 B 12:18 . To me, you are a demi maths god but I beg to disagree with you on it. In my thought, it's either you want to test if we are paying detailed attention to the formula or you got it wrong. From what I have learnt from you and what I know in probability, the solution should be as follows:
P(Br|M) = 70/90 = 7/9
Or
P(Br|M) = P(M and Br)/P(M)
=(70/200)/(90/200) = 70/90 = 7/9
= 0.7778 = 77.78%.
Please correct and clarify me if I am wrong. Please tag me when you do. Thanks

Circle A=150 total. Here circle A contains 150+30=180. Start with the shared portion(intersection of A and B), then subtract that from the 150 & 180.... but I could be wrong. I came here to learn from the master.
I think the intersection of a and c is only an indication of how much students from a and c are taking both subjects.
I agree--the discrepancy really threw me off. Wording of the question should change, if 150 is not TOTAL number of students taking Algebra, but 150 taking ONLY Algebra. Weird that I'm writing this 2 years later.

The venn diagram looks pretty wrong at 5mins
It proved to be an important point of discussion. I was thinking that same. 150 is the number of only Algebra. 180 is the number of Algebra students total.

At 5 min, The question says 150, but on your vann diagram we now have 180 students taking algebra, Please explain further. Isn't suppose to be 120 and 30, vs 150 and 30?

No, he wrote down P(A) and. P(B) down without subtracting P(A n B) as is typically done. So... he didn’t have to subtract and then add it back in later.
Yup the Venn diagram is indeed wrong. That’s why you have to be careful with online resources.

that's what I was thinking
150 are enrolled in algebra, 80 enrolled in chemistry. Out of those 150+80=230 students, 30 are enrolled in both algebra and chemistry. That's what was meant I think.
The figure on the left should be 120 and on the right 50. The total number of students taking algebra is than 120 + 30 = 150, etc. This is the conventional way of drawing Venn Diagrams.
