Easyest upgrade you can ever have! Simply Cut (Do Not Bend!) the bottom frame plate extension (as shown on photos) and trim the plastic fender extension behind the tank and you are good to go!
No need to relocate anything (ignition switch / VRSCSE2 seat switch) or damage your frame with bending down the bottom plate extension and extending it with extra plates while drilling holes and installing bolts or rivets in the bottom of the frame.
No need to modify wire harness. Its easy as A..B..C

What blows me away is that here in the US the vrod wasnt that popular, as to why ill never know. But over in europe its still a pretty hot shit machine and thats where all the cool parts are manufactured. Ive got an 05 b model and even at almost 20 yrs old it is still very much a rocket. I ordered a 5 gal tank a few weeks before i saw this vid, thanks for showin how easy this is.
Great video, just received and installed my tank, only thing not in the video I came across vs a bone stock bike is you also have to trim the lower belt guard. With cutting cleaning painting etc on a stock bike with a brake bleeder your looking at less than an hour start to finish. Only thing I'd add is be sure you're straight on plugging in the sending unit so you don't bend pins, and get some scotch bright and clean the varnish off the level sensor while you have it out.

Nice shop, bought the vrsca 9yrs ago and has the mod tank. Everything is tucked so tight within the frame, ie the battery. Now sensor tube needs to be replaced, don't trust the gauge. Aft fill, doesn't show above 3/4, so good to inspect /change the fuel filter. A 3 gal on 1100cc,, why they design a peanut

What size tire is that and do I need to do any modifications to fit it? I have a 2004 vrod vrsca like yours. I have a muscle rim which I am hoping to use I just need tire size and to know of it clears.

I have a 2004 v rod. It was of the road about a year now. Before that I replaced the battery. I start the bike but after 2-3 seconds it shuts off. If I try to give it some throttle it shuts of imidiatly. Can you please give me any advice what to check before I take it to mechanic?

Hi Fredy, you do amazing work man. I've inherited a 2003 v rod from my father who passed a few years ago. It's in good condition but needs a bit of work. Have you any videos on replacing v rod stock bars for lower drag bars and relocating the clocks? I have never liked the stock bars and riser set up on the vrod. All your customs are amazing

Where to buy tank
Nobody independent builder knows more than Freddy about vrods period. I liked his customs because he pushed the envelope. I also hate his builds for the same reason. How many vrods were ruined making stupid assed huge rear tire customs. For fucks sake l think he should leave them alone for people who loves them in stock configuration.
