    Very helpful thank you! The white fan makes it very easy to see how the fan is opening/closing as you move it.

    Thank you! I just received my first fan and I am so happy I found your posts. Is it possible to "mirror" your lesson so you can be followed exactly? Either way, THANK YOU!!!

    Well done , I'm Luciano P. from Italy.
    I am interested in the Tai Chi Fan class, but I assume his videos are in English only. Thanks

      Yes, I only teach in English right now. I would suggest you look up Hung Sing Schools in Italy. They are also part of the Plum Blossom International Federation teaching the same style of tai chi as Doc-Fai Wong.

    Should the design side of the fan be facing outwards or it can be inwards facing towards me.

    • @SifuKuttelTaiChi
      @SifuKuttelTaiChi  Před měsícem +1

      That’s ultimately an aesthetic decision, and you can do it either way. I think it looks better when the image is out and visible, however in this video in particular, I try to keep the wood facing the camera as my fan is white and can sometimes blend in with the white walls.

    HI! My newly purchased fan causes a lot of friction, do you think it will become softer with use? thx!

    • @SifuKuttelTaiChi
      @SifuKuttelTaiChi  Před měsícem +1

      Yes, most fans start like that and need some breaking in, but it will work itself out in due time.

    Man! Having a terrible time closing after opening right hand extended to the right with the fan underhand.
    Then closing the fan snapping the wrist back again underhanded back to the chest. Your fan seems super easy to close and heavier than mine. If anyone has and suggestions please let me know. Thanks in advance.

    Any recommendations for purchasing a fan?

    • @SifuKuttelTaiChi
      @SifuKuttelTaiChi  Před 2 lety +3

      Absolutely! I recommend Bamboo fans as they are lightweight, durable, and easily accessible. Plastic fans don't seem to last very long, and metal fans can become quite heavy during long sessions. You can find fans on most martial arts supply websites, amazon.com, and ebay.
      Here are my two go-to sites for fan:
      DragonSports.eu
      www.dragonsports.eu/en/200800-tai-chi-fans
      KungFuDirect.com

      @@SifuKuttelTaiChi Hi! I already have a couple of these fans, but am wondering if the fan you are using in this video are the same? Yours look like a larger fan than these, and I really like the white one you have. Do you have a link for that fan? TIA. Really appreciate your teachings.

    How to know whether I have the right or the left fan

    • @SifuKuttelTaiChi
      @SifuKuttelTaiChi  Před 9 měsíci

      If it opens up counter clockwise it is a right-handed fan, if it opens up clockwise, it is a left handed fan.
