Yet this same populace in the same state will vote APC & PDP come 2023 and still be questioning God why Nigeria is not progressing. Truly , every populace deserves the leaders it gets.

The fact is that he appears to be the best of the candidates we have. The fact that he’s from the east is an accident of birth and not relevant. He could come from Damaturu, Kebbi, Akure or Ogoja for all I care. You answered your own question. Igbos can not rule because they're too ambitious. They are the only ones that go to other people's land and develop it even though others don't lay a single brick or block when they live in Igboland, massred in the war yet rebuilt under 10 years. This is not acceptable to the Northern elites and their British backers. Why? Development brings sudden change, sudden change means a change in outlook and way of life for instance the more developed a people are, the more freedom they demand which isn't great for sharia. Change also means holding foreign companies accountable.

    Nigeria is in debts, what a shame. Let the leaders step down. And in my view don't even waist huge sums of money for elections. You know yourselves so just choose few capable individuals and vote through the internet and elect your leaders. We were chosing our leaders before the foreigners, the so called super powers entered our continent. Do we have to follow their systems all the time. The money that would have been used for elections then can be used for meaningful project like agriculture and employ the youth. After all we need food to survive Africa not that kind of elections that even doesn't yield results

  • @eberepeter-claverokoro7023

    It would have been nice if you gave the advice to GEJ who was a close friend of yours, Okonjo Iweala, senate president David Mark, deputy ekweremmadu, pdp speaker Tambuwal and deputy ihedioha.. Majority pdp in senate and house.. to make the constitional

Obi has been preaching this message about saving since. President Jonathan, Obi and Madam Iweala all tried to save. The name of the book is Fighting Corruption is Dangerous

    • @wilsonijide3610
      @wilsonijide3610 Před 2 lety +7

      You probably did not listen to understand but to rebute.
      Jonathan embarked on saving and the governors took the federal government to cour that such saving is unconstitutional.
      Those who spearheaded the case were Amaechi, Bukola Saraki, and Adams Oshiomole who are probably your heroes today.
      Peter Obi further stated that the constitution will have to be amended as a matter of urgency to include saving.
      That is however only one out of the points he raised. He talked about economic planning, he talked about cost of governance and gave examples, he also talked about misplaced priority, that he knows of a state that cannot access ubec fund but can afford to buy prado jeeps for members of national assembly at a cost of 1 billion naira etc.
      Next time try and listen with an open mind instead of a mindset of hate.

    Of the 3 original regions of Nigeria, the Western Region is held back by laziness and pernicious tradition; the Northern Region is held back by fatalism and destructive Religion; the long-suffering Eastern Region is held back mainly by Nigeria itself. Were it not for the enforced union in this failed nation, Biafra would have by now been the toast of the whole earth. Once a foundation is faulty, any structure built on it will collapse.
    The foundation of Nigeria is faulty. Any effort that the exceptionally hard-working and gifted Biafrans like Governor Peter Obi make to develop Nigeria without correcting the faulty foundation would be futile. We must first lay a new foundation - either Biafra as a self-governing part of a renewed Nigerian confederation (the Aburi Solution) or Biafra as an independent State (the IPOB solution).
    ANYONE WHO LOVES NIGERIA OR BIAFRA SHOULD SUPPORT A REFERENDUM! There is no other way out. Once Biafrans have self-government, the rising sun would shine and the eagle would soar! Otherwise Nigeria is doomed to remain no better than a zoo. We shall overcome!!

      @@ejionyemchikwado9262 Igbo CANNOT remain different (see 1 Corinthians 15.33). If Igbo live as Nigerians, they will EVENTUALLY become Nigerian. That is why Igbo autonomy / independence is an urgent task. Before Irish independence, Ireland was a wild troubled nation (in fact I have a book on pre-independence Ireland called "Bandit Country"). Today's Ireland is now BETTER than UK (Human Dev. Index), SAFER than UK (Fragile State Index) and far RICHER than UK (Irish PCI is now double that of UK!). Wisdom is often counter-intuitive.

    Who shall tell the Nigerian power hijackers, financial brigands and ram-raiders, profligate rulers, political nonentities, usurpers of the people’s will and wealth, oppressors and dehumanisers of the citizens to allow Peter Obi clean up Nigeria and start her off on an egalitarian and prosperous path?
