Dr Alban was great in the 90s, Hello Afrika, No Coke, Sing Hallelujah, One Love, Look who’s talking now.,Away from home, and Let the beat go on, are his best hits, in my opinion.

Awesome, this brings back so many great memories of going clubbing in the 90s! Though I prefer "Sing Hallelujah" that was released the next year from the same album.

I'm Belgian, near France, I discovered you today, I love seeing your reactions and your emotions. With your videos I rediscover songs that make me vibrate, I feel like I'm vibrating with you. I would like to see your reaction to the Savage Garden song "To the moon and back"

Came out at the exact same time as Snap - Rhythm Is A Dancer. Such good tunes :P
Highly recommend Pharaoh - There Is a Star; another Euro dance hit.

The rising of an Eurodance superstar. A huge hit all around Europe. Again a Germany production. But the single after, SING HALLELUJAH, will destroy all Europe charts. Both are bangers ❤❤❤❤

You might enjoy another Eurodance 90’s artist popular at the same called E -type. Similar kind of beat with powerhouse Female backing vocals. This is the way and Set the World on fire are two of his most popular songs. On every dance floor at the time🙂

The thing about the factories is because at that time the reaves were made in abandoned factories, it is a kind of "tribute" against the system and the police... hi from argentina 😎✌

Great memories of my 15 years at school in 9th Grade.😊☺🥰😍🤩
I really liked this very catchy and especially “catchy” song. It was with her that I met Dr Alban.
The 90's were the best in terms of music and it was also the era of "dance music" or Eurodance since around 1990 (a little earlier at the end of the 80's but more House/Acid Music then New Beat like the group Technotronic with its multiple singers) female) who invaded all of Europe (especially France) for at least 5-6 years and we danced non-stop in discotheques.
It was the invasion of titles by groups especially "duos" (a singer or rapper and a female singer) on radios (especially in the rankings), clips on TV, CD'S compilations in commerce but also among merchants newspapers (notably here in France with compilation CD'S and booklets) and of course the cult show "Dance Machine" from October 1993 on the M6 channel in the second part of the evening where all these dance artists came (including Dr Alban several times !) in Paris either at the Zénith or at the Palais Omnisports De Bercy (called Bercy) ignite the scene without counting the "afters". ^^
For a few years this show was a big success until 1999 or 2000 even though the music had changed.
There was a "come back" at the beginning of the 2010's but nothing beats those of the 90's, the best!
A decade that we will never do again and so many dance hits to explore.
His other hit in 1993: “Sing Hallelujah!”.
More dance music on your great channel 😚

I think "Long Time Ago" is his best one. But "Sing Halleluja" or "Look Who's Talking" might be the most widely known. Pretty good too.

in US it charted at peakposition 88, but I know the US is a difficult country for this kind of music to break through. Itt still is. Technotronic nailed it a few years before this though.

Great reaction of this great hit.
About it being ahead of its time. Denniz Pop who wrote this, wrote songs for Ace of base, Backstreet boys, Britney Spears etc together with MAX MARTIN.
He passed away far to soon in 1998, 35 years old.
Dr. Alban was very popular in Sweden, had the pleasure to shake his hand at a famous nightclub in Stockholm called Spy Bar👍.

Always loved this song since I was a kid in the '90s! It was not a huge hit here in the U.S. - only hitting #88 on the Hot 100 (but it did get to #3 on the U.S. Dance chart). Funny that I just learned that producer Denniz Pop also produced Beautiful Life for Ace Of Base which I always thought ripped this song off since It's My Life came first (similar chord progression, piano hook and Life lyric). But at least he stole from himself!
