  • I'm several months late with this Soap Challenge Club soap! When I first saw it I knew I had to give it a try! This bar turned out so smooth, surprising that soap shreds were used. This one sure wore me out though LOL

    The only video I’ve seen like this was Tellervo. She added the scraps a little at a time and blended, which made it less rigorous to blend and also ensured full trace. I’ve never heard it called Ciagllia until now, but I’m not in any forums. You have inspired me to give this a try: I have several batches of perfectly good but unattractive soaps 😄 Thanks for this great vid, Tammy!

      Hi Terri - that is so crazy you mentioned that channel. I just watched a video for the first time by her where she used flax seed gel (I am totally doing this soon!) I am going to go search out her using this method to see if I can find any pointers! Thanks for watching!!

      @@WalnutCreekBathBoutique 😂 I put flax seed on my grocery list two weeks ago: Same reason, lol! Can’t wait to see you post on how that one comes out 😉

    What an awesome job! I’ve been contemplating trying this method bc I have a pail of soap shreds and have soap that the scent didn’t hold up so this will be my new thing to try. I also want to try to pair scents too! Glad I found your channel!

    These are beautiful bars! I love the colors. Also I love blending oils and coming up with new blends. You got this girl!

    i love the idea of reusing soap shred, whether it's in a confetti soap or something else 👍

    Chally-a. "Ci" in Italian is pronounced "ch" (like in ciabata) and "gl" is pronounced without the g (like tagliatelle - tally-a-telly). Other than that, a very interesting video! 😁😁

      Thanks for the info! It took me reading this several times to get to the point where I think I have it! 😂 - I can barely speak English, (and I'm American) I am the worst when I comes to saying anything correctly 😆...Grammer I've go, pronunciation, yeah - not so much. Thanks for helping me out!

      @@WalnutCreekBathBoutique Ha ha! I just discovered you a few weeks ago (the collab with I Dream In Soap) and now I'm working my way through your videos. At the moment I'm watching your soap bar one. You're so patient having to press each bar manually! I couldn't be bothered.

    Hi Tammy, I like the design and the colors. It's diffrent and it isn't boring. Actually do you know how many people have blue and beige bathrooms? It's very popular, so it will look great in peoples baths!
    I've never heard of this method either. Who camevup with it? I'll have to look on the soap challenge web page. How do you spell thismethod?
    It's great your doing the soap club challenges. I'm just to busy right now to even think of soap challenges, lol! Maybe someday?
    Have a great weekend! ( we have more foul weather coming, sniw storm this time. I think your going to get the tail end of this storm too.)!

      Hi Jill! I was thinking about you yesterday and today...hope you didn't have too many troubles with the crazy weather you are having! It pretty much missed us - we are like 10 inches short on snow this year! I am hoping all the trees and plants do ok without the precipitation.
      I'm not sure who came up with this method, I like it but whew! I am totally out of shape! 😂
      I can only get one go on the challenges, I understand some people give it 4 or 5 tries...no way I can devote that much time to it. One and done for me haha, regardless of what it looks like.
      Hoping you have a wonderful and blessed week!💖

    Candle science sea minerals smells so wonderful, but it riced and seized on me with my recipe when I tested it… I’ve been scared to use it because of that. Yours behaved pretty well considering!

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for sharing Jillian! - that is probably why that part of the soap was so much more work!! I was doing some pretty heavy breathing in this one!😂, but I'm glad you let me know as I was thinking about using it alone in a regular recipe, maybe I will rethink that!

  • @AndiNewtonian

    That soap turned out so pretty! If you turn it upside down, so the blue is on top and the terracotta on the bottom, it reminds me of the pictures a friend of mine took in Sedonia, AZ. Maybe you could do another soap in those colors that's a Sedonia desert scape.
    I'm curious about one thing -- why would the soap shreds be unsaleable/not skin safe after May? Does CP soap expire after a while? Is it because they're shreds? (Sorry; I only do M&P and even that I've only done like four times, so I'm very much a soap newbie.)

    • @shaydelady1508
      @shaydelady1508 Před 2 lety +2

      No, it has nothing to do with the soap expiring, the people who are in charge of saying wither or not an FO is skin safe or not, have change the rules yet again. A lot of the FO we all use will become unusable for skin come May. Makes absolutely no sense at all. Oh it's fine in April but not after!! So now all soapers are trying to use up the FO and get them sold before the deadline. 😃
