2009年10月生まれ。2歳からおもちゃ代わりにドラムを始め、4歳からライブ活動を始める。
5歳で 『かねあいよよか』を結成し幼稚園在籍中の6歳で1stCDを発売。
作詞作曲、ボーカル、ピアノも担当。ライブやイベントなどこれまでに150本以上のステージを経験。
2018年6月、世界的な女性ドラマーのコンテスト『Hit Like A Girl 2018』の18歳以下の部にて、最年少の8歳でウイークリーチャンピオンとなる。
Led Zeppelinの『Good Times Bad Times』をカヴァー演奏した応募動画が、アメリカの NBC、NPR、ローリングストーン誌やビルボードで特集され、世界中に拡散。

The female drummer Senri Kawaguchi demonstrates also physical expression in her playing! Always a pleasure and reminder for the rest of us that when doing something, doing it with the whole body!

For a girl her age, she has more "feel" than thousands and thousands of other drummers. Its something you cant teach. She was definitely given it as a gift and truly bleased Rock ONNNN!!!!

That's what some folks never understand. There's playing it and there's feeling it. She has great feel. She's neither sloppy nor metronomic. She swings, and that's something that usually comes much later on any instrument. Particularly a song like this. It would be SO easy to start rushing it.
This probably sounds racist because I'm making an unnecessary comparison but my instant thought was this Japanese girl is absolutely in the feel of the song, whilst when you see Chinese kids being good at music.. it is purely trained and methodical

I mean let that be a lesson to anyone in the world. Sure, genetics played a major part here but, learning an instrument should be done as early as possible, during the time the brain is developing the most. I wish I learnt guitar at the age of 12... Ah well.

Truly God given talent and ability. She is playing triplets on the bass drum!!! I've been playing for 50 years and can barely do that on a good day. Bonham would be proud. She has a great future in music.

So true. This is the unfortunate nature of Human beings. Glorify the garbage and not appreciate the talent and skill.
Well for one, the music that's as mainstream as the Kardashian's involves nowhere near the amount of skill as that which you witness in this song.
It's like basketball vs hockey. Hip hop vs classical/rock/metal (anything that requires years of mastery on an instrument). The former of each of the above requires much less skill and investment, but is far more profitable than the latter. The average person prefers the simple.
How true. Fans of Yoyoka should get her videos out there and share them with everyone in their social circles. She is too good not to be share with everyone. The world needs someone like her to counterbalance the likes of the Kartrashians.

She uses heavy sticks with wraps on them for a better grip. She grips them at the very end of the stick for max power. And she's
punishing her snare drum with full swings of her arm. I like her high energy. I have a similar approach to classical guitar.
I had to switch to steel strings because my fingernails were hopeless, and eventually started stringing my guitar with heavy steel strings.
I know I play too hard, but it feels good and it's fun. Hard on the finger tips.

I've had several hours with major depressive disorder, but this in the worst...largely because I stand to lose my grandchildren to the system and my daughter to an OD if that happens. I'm just so poor that I can't afford an apartment that will accommodate them and my own 15yo son. My mom just pointed out that I live on $6000 less than the federal poverty guidelines, and I've been doing it for almost exactly 7 years now. My son hasn't ever had his own room. On top of that, I'm disabled and unable to work a normal job. I was hoping I could get help from family to buy a car I could use to drive for Lyft/Uber and I could pay them back over time, but no one is stepping up & my parents are both in assisted living and on a very tight budget. I'm just feeling really defeated right now & it's hard to think that everyone wouldn't be better off if I was just gone - not necessarily dead, but just gone. Ugh. Sorry to unload all that. I'm hoping to see a therapist soon. Once again though, I really do appreciate your kind and supportive words. You seem like a pretty wonderful person and I hope you are having a good life!

I'm 52 years old and I never believed in reincarnation until I saw this young lady. I am convinced that she has lived more lives then we will ever know.
If you have followed her schedule since moving to the US and in particular over this summer, she has done more in one year than almost all of us!
I Iove her face when she's playing. The expressions and sheer joy of the music makes her give the most enjoyable expressions. That's love of music like no other which produces the most talented instrument player. I can't say it enough. I absolutely love this kid and her energy.

She was doing triplets which is extremely hard. Many drummers despite years of trying never learn the technique. Bonham was famous for it.

Let’s get this out of the way first, this is very impressive drumming for a 10 year old. However, the technical ability is a distant second to the more important attitude. She has an obvious joy for playing and that more than anything else will make her grow by leaps and bounds. Never lose it.
Wow, must be a SAVANT, fantastic appreciation of the timing, syncopation and feel. Not just a robot banging out the notes, she actually understands the feel.
Yoyoka have such good control of her power at the beginning part. Nice gradual increase in power.
