6-7 years ago i was an engineer who listened to his medical friends say how amazing his day was while he thought it was too late to make an old dream come true. Today I'm just over a year away from graduating as a doctor telling you how amazing I've been all these days after deciding to fulfill an old 35-year-old dream. Your songs and your story of overcoming difficulties inspire me. Fairy tales and inspirational stories always make us belive in a better life. Thank you very much.

Just watched young Daniel's cover from 11 years ago, this just show your growth over the years, you are an amazing young man with an even more amazing instrument. And as. a Grandma I'm going to say young Daniel is just adorable and I'n so proud of all of his hard work to become the man he is.

I was raised by my grandparents and I learned the art of quilting at 5 yrs. I am now 72 and I retired early so I could do quilts for charity. I'm a lot better now ❤Mary b.

I graduated law school over 24 years ago but did not get licensed. Over 2 years ago, I embarked on a journey to get the license. Bar exam and ethics exam passed and I’m now sworn in as an attorney.

I agree! I wish I had known about Dan and his music back in 2017, when both of my hip joints were replaced (one in May and one in July). I didn't, but I DID have Home Free to listen to...constantly. Bingeing on music you love is TERRIFICALLY therapeutic. While I was in-hospital, both times, I also got others "hooked" on Home Free. I'm not in-hospital any longer, but I'm having a TREMENDOUS time doing my best to get others hooked on Dan! 😀

6 or 7 years ago, I was just starting to learn how to work with horses. Now I am very good at positive reinforcement training, and work as a volunteer with rescued horses several days a week. I was also just discovering different types of music on CZcams then. Now I support several different groups and individuals. You, sir, are one of my favorites. This song is EPIC!!

I am a bit furious that the U.S. industry did not promote the likes of Shaman, Rhapsody et. al. I'd have been a fan much sooner "Metal" in the States was/is too often depressing, dark, bloody, hypersexual , druggy, satanic or self pitying. The stuff you have introduced to me is brilliant. My husband passed away 5 yrs ago and I am now able to not cry every time I think of him!! I still cry inside my sou,l but am able to go on every day now to where I smile at just the thought of him❤ I love and miss you tim!!! That is how I knew I had turned a corner when my dad died and then again when my mom died. When I could smile while thinking of them was a huge help on my grieving journey. My only sibling died a little over 5 years ago. I still cry when I think of him. Anyhoo, bless you and prayers/good vibes on your grieving journey. 😔

With all due respect to the late André, whom I admire a lot, but you sang better than himself. It's very sad to see talents like Daniel's not being recognized in Brazil. I am amazed at the control you have with your voice! I started quilting about 9 y3ars ago, and it wasn't pretty! This year I entered a quilt in the quilt show and won a first place ribbon because the judge liked my style of quilting. I've worked and continue to strive for better control of my stitching and piecing. I still love it when I put the finishing touches on my work and call it done. I understand having a passion for your work! Keep singing, Dan, you're top notch!

I do calligraphy, and since the arrival of the iPad, I do so much more art with it than I ever did before. About 5 years ago I started with it, and what I do now is much better and more creative than those early years. It’s so much fun too, and…all hail the undo function! Thanks for your music, Dan. Amazing Grace amazed me but on a deeper level, it stirred my spirit in praise to God for his bountiful and wondrous grace.

7 years ago I contracted a rare auto immune disease from a Kangaroo in Australia, it went 4 years before the diagnosis was made and everyday I get stronger relieved that after all this time the disease is in nearly beat I am finally feeling stronger and healthier, I have your music to help me through my bad days as well as making me smile on the good ones. Thank you my boy you truly are an inspiration to many, both the healthy and the infirmed, bless you!

Dan 7 yrs ago I was in a head on car accident and had excruciating head & nerve pain with severe memory loss…today I’m about 80% better and able to hear your music loud in earphones would not be able to do that before…keep up your amazing talent🎆
Also singing. I was in various bands before I got sober, one of which opened for American Head Charge, but I had very little vocal training, and I was drinking a lot. God as I understand Them blessed me by removing my obsession to drink. Less than a year later, I started college, and there I took some semesters of voice lessons, and joined the choir. Sidebar, Dan I played your cover of Africa for my wife, and she said my singing voice is fairly similar. I was like, wellllll I'll take THAT gihugiant compliment!

Essa música fez parte da minha história de uma forma inusitada. Eu tinha nove anos de idade quando a ouvi pela primeira vez, em 2005. Estava fazendo aulas de dança livre no SESC da minha cidade, e a professora usou essa música para a coreografia da turma do juvenil (13-15 anos mais ou menos). Eu não sabia uma palavra em inglês, não sabia o título da música, eu não conhecia Shaman, eu não sabia quem era André Matos. Tudo que o que sabia é que achava a coreografia "das meninas grandes" muito mais legal do que a nossa. Há alguns meses minha família me trouxe de volta depois de um período turbulento onde eu não estava conseguindo seguir com a minha vida longe de casa, e num sábado aleatório a música Fairy Tale apareceu nas minhas sugestões do CZcams. E ouvindo novamente essa música catorze anos depois meu primeiro pensamento foi "A professora não leu a letra", seguido de "como faz pra parar de ouvir?". Logo eu estava ouvindo tudo do Angra (época do André e pós-André), do Shaman e não sei quantas outras bandas nacionais de metal (conhecia Sepultura, Torture Squad e Nervosa, somente), que tem me acalentado desde então. Quase um ano após a morte do André, sinto como se tivesse perdido um ente querido mesmo conhecendo sua obra tão tardiamente.

Since you mentioned this at the end of this video, from what I'm hearing on your videos recently as compared to 4-5 years ago +, imho, your nasal intonation has cleared significantly to a purer sound (and that is a huge improvement), your diction is at least twice as clear, and your voice in any range sounds at least twice as strong (breath control/delivery). Very impressive improvement. I hope you burn them out now, because you are near perfection in technique, vocal delivery, performance style and passionately communicating the song's lyrics and interpretation. The dedication, discipline, focus, hard work, time spent and love for your art is obvious. Bravo! All of those things are your gift to all of us. 👏☝️🤗

I love how you put your heart and soul into this song. You look like you mean business as you come to sing the harder parts of the song. I watch your face and think I can tell you are going to belt out those higher notes. Please please do a concert. You would be brilliant. You have so many fans. I always listen to your covers and I think you sing them much better than the original. I could listen to you all day long. Outstanding voice and you know how to perform ❤❤❤
I too could listen to Dan all day. I don't know if we will get to see him in concert. He has stated that he likes to record in his home studio so that he can do all of the sound and lighting himself. He's so intune to the esthetics of his production that anything less than perfect just won't do. We're so fortunate to have his brilliance

Not sure if i do anything better, my health in the last few years has been a bit compromised. But i still get out of bed and do my dishes and get out and about with my kids and grandkids Us ng a walker. So life is still Wonderful. My husband is the best any woman could have . Hes simply awesome. I have to day dan you singing is so beautiful i really enjoy it. You are just about my youngest sons age. His hair used to be down passed his waist in curls. He's cut it for his job. Keep up your singing you give so much pleasure with your music and tell fearless they are magnificent on there instruments.
