    The art on the boxes of the 80s is beautiful

      Today the box prices are higher than the actual toy in he man and transformers

    I still have my original vintage MOTU Castle Grayskull playset 😎👍 makes me smile every time I look at it. Great review

    Never had one as a kid bit I currently own 2. One is almost complete (missing some cardboard) and the other is a bare shell which I'm planning to custom paint. The drawbridge and wooden parts actually have some wonderfully detailed woodgrain that really comes to life when you slap some paint on it.

      That sounds awesome to do a custom painted vintage Castle! I would love to see it when you are done!

    Great review. So much childhood nostalgia. I recently picked up the Origins castle. I plan to set it up and fill it Dr. Doom vs Skeletor 😁

      That sounds like a cool display and the Origins is a big improvement over the original with all the plastic where Cardboard once was

    I use the Origins Grayskull and Snake Mountain both with my vintage and origins figures,and they work great. I have some Super7 filmation 5.5 figures that fit fine too.

    Great video i still have my original castle which I got like in 1985 in Mexico since we went to live from 1985 to 1989 it says it was made in Mexico.

    I never had the original but I do have Origins and it's pretty great.

    There are two versions of the front skull shell. One is slightly thinner and hard to fine. 10 shelves generally don’t fit in it well unless you have its original ones.

      Glad you enjoyed and the variants are fun. I have come a cross more variant like the gun platform. One has a notch to hold the gun there is another that is flat

    Live this stuff. Neato to the max.
    I want to find a vintage grayskull to customize for a random one off for random figures. And display peice. Add other parts from playmobile and other toyline playsets and paint it to a more realistic look with moss and textured spray paint by krylon for rocks ect. Real chains and a weapons rack with various weapons for that fantasy medieval look.

      Love to see your work once done and yes this castle would work for many other toy lines

    You're just finding excuse to play this playset again, I'm glad it's still in one piece and good condition. My childhood friend also has this but it is in terrible condition with some parts chewed by his pet cat

      @tydiriumhanger1320  Před 2 lety

      You got me! I am always looking for a reason to play with these vintage toys LOL! This one was in rough condition also but with a few part lots and some cleaning it is back to good shape

    I always hated how it looks like they just blasted Castle Grayskull with black spray paint right in the eyes. I'm happy the new one isn't like that.
    I'd also like to ask you something completely unrelated. Does the skintone of the Filmation colored Origins Sorceress match Teela's skintone? I'm desperately trying to find a Teela and Evil-Lyn with the new knees but I can't find them anywhere. I'm hoping Sorceress' legs are a close match so I can just use those.

      @tydiriumhanger1320  Před 2 lety +1

      Looking at this one next to the origins I see how sloppy the vintage paint was. I think they are similar but I have to dig my Origins Teela out the one I uses was vintage

      @@tydiriumhanger1320 yeah i have mine since 1985 and thought i had lost it 2 different times but luckily I found it. In Mexico He man was a big deal in the small town that i lived i think there was only two castles many kids would go to my house to at least see my castle the only two original figures i had was skeletor and jitsu my He Man was a bootleg which i found in December when I went back to my old house and of course i brought it back to the States now the castle which I brought back are my priced possessions.
