Most people's voices are deeper in the mother tongue, or once their language reaches mother-tongue level.
I guess English speaking voice tone is deeper than Korean in general
Idk why but she kinda remindes me of Rose form Blackpink when she speaks English but when Rose speaks with a more relaxed tone
English makes the voice deeper than Asian langages
I think it has to do with the fact that this isn’t Korean tv. Seeing as Koreans praise the innocent and cutesy image for girls especially, it only makes sense that they give their voices a higher pitch when singing or talking subconsciously or intentionally.
There’s been videos of Rosé talking in her natural but then getting super squeaky when she realized a camera was on her. 🤷♀️ another case I’ve forgotten where but an idols company straight up told her to change her voice and would reprimand her if she talked normally on camera.

Well, it is because most people know that Lia has a Canada background. if you ask me, I am a little surprised that her English is not as good as most Canadian. I am more surprised at Ryujin's English. To grade them: What I expected from Lia - an A. Lia IRL - a B. She has some strange accent. What I expected from Ryujin - an E. Ryujin iRL - a D. The rest - an E.
cos most pple already expect her to be fluent in english (born in canada + attended an internationa school in korea)
